ORONO WENT UP AGAINST BECKER IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Orono and Becker squared off in a boys' basketball game. Becker started out the game in a zone defense. They wanted to make Orono take deep 3-point baskets.

It took each team a while to get into a shooting rhythm.

Orono came up with steals and turned them into layups on the offensive end. Orono wasn’t afraid to take 3-point shots either.

Orono got everyone involved in the offense. They did a good job of talking on the offensive end.

Orono’s Samual Turner came up with defensive rebounds. He was able to get the ball into the guard’s hands who brought the ball down the floor quickly and looked for layups.

Becker swung the ball around the 3-point line as they looked to get the ball into the hands of Dillon Radunz. Radunz made layups from the low block.

Orono came up with 3-point baskets in the first half. That kept them in the game.

There were many ties and lead changes with just under seven minutes to go.

Becker called a timeout with 3:39 left in the first half. The score was Orono 30, Becker 27.

Becker continued to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.

At halftime the score was Orono 29, Becker 39.

As the second half got underway Orono’s Alexander Kill came up with huge mid-range jump shots and layups. He called for the ball and was able to get past the Becker defense.

The Becker offense couldn’t get going in the second half. The defensive pressure that Orono applied made it difficult for Becker to make shots that they put up.

Orono was too much for Becker. Becker couldn’t hit shots throughout the game.

Orono came away with the 70-56 victory over Becker.
