BUFFALO WENT UP AGAINST MINNEAPOLIS ROOSEVELT IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Buffalo and Roosevelt squared off in a boys' basketball game. Roosevelt looked to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.
 
Roosevelt got the ball into the hands of Elijah Hannah. Hannah came up with midrange jump shots and layups. The defense had a hard time slowing him down.
 
Buffalo called a timeout with 13:52 left in the first half. The score was Roosevelt 11, Buffalo 4.
 
Buffalo looked to attack the basket and get everyone involved in the offense.
 
Roosevelt called a timeout with 9:21 left in the first half. The score was Roosevelt 17, Buffalo 14.
 
After a slow start by Buffalo they went on a 10-3 run.
 
Buffalo played mostly zone defense in the first half. They wanted to force Roosevelt to take deep 3-point shots.
 
Buffalo passed the ball around to each other as they were able to get everyone involved in the offense.
 
At halftime the score was Roosevelt 25 Buffalo 22.
 
As the second half got underway Hannah kept on coming up with huge baskets in transition.
 
Buffalo’s Brytan Matzke came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. The defense had a tough time slowing him down.
 
Roosevelt went to a zone defense in the second half. That made Buffalo swing the ball around the 3-point line.
 
Buffalo switched between man-to-man and zone defenses throughout the second half.
 
Roosevelt called a timeout with 6:08 left in regulation. The score was Roosevelt 41, Buffalo 38.
 
The sore went back and forth late in the game. There were many ties and lead changes in the second half.
 
Buffalo’s Mitch Gabrilick came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the second half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
 
The game came down to the wire.
 
Roosevelt came away with the 54-46 victory over Buffalo.
 
The leading scorer for Roosevelt was Elijah Hannah with 27 points.
