HPA TOOK ON ERROL CARLSTROM PLAYAZ IN THE HOWARD PULLEY PRO CITY SUMMER LEAGUE

On Thursday July 18, HPA went up against Errol Carlstrom Playaz in the Howard Pulley Pro City Summer League.
 
The game got off to a quick start as each team raced up and down the floor. HPA was able to get some good shots throughout the first quarter.
 
The score went back and forth throughout the first quarter as each team was into the game.
 
After one quarter of play the score was Errol Carlstrom Playaz 30, HPA 22.
 
HPA did a good job of running the floor as they looked to get open layups in transition.
 
HPA had a hard time making shots in the second quarter. They were not able to make the jump shots and the layups that they were putting up.
 
At halftime the score was Errol Carlstrom Playaz 65, HPA 39.
 
The third quarter started off slowly. Neither team looked to be in an offensive shooting rhythm.
 
Both teams continued to play hard throughout the third quarter. Even though HPA had difficulty making shots, they didn’t give up on themselves.
 
HPA tried their best to chip away at the deficit but they were not able to do that in the third quarter.
 
Errol Carlstrom Playaz were too quick for HPA. Errol Carlstrom Playaz were able to hit shots throughout the contest.
 
After three quarters of play the score was Errol Carlstrom Playaz 104, HPA 63.
 
Marcus Alipate was all over the floor. He was able to get by his defenders and take the ball strong to the basket on offense. On the defensive end Alipate was able to slow down his guy and was able to come up with steals.
 
Both teams limped through the fourth quarter. HPA strung baskets together late in the contest but it was too little, too late.
 
Errol Carlstrom Playaz came away with the 131-85 victory over HPA.
