EAGAN WENT UP AGAINST PRIOR LAKE IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

On Feb. 17 Eagan took on Prior Lake in a boys’ basketball game. Prior Lake passed the ball around 3-point line.

It took a while for each team to get into a scoring rhythm.

Prior Lake got the ball into the hands of Austin Heidecker and Connor Bair. They both were able to get to the basket and come up with mid-range jump shots and layups.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half. Neither team went on a in the first half.

Prior Lake did a good job of getting everyone involved in the offense. Sam Schultze came up with 3-point baskets.

Eagan struggled to shoot the ball for a period of time in the first half. Even though they had trouble shooting the ball they weren’t afraid to shoot it.

At halftime the score was Prior Lake 50, Eagan 38.

As the second half got underway Eagan looked to get the ball into the hands of Chase Seiberlich. Seiberlich did a good job of getting to the basket and making layups and mid-range jump shots.

Eagan struggled to shoot the ball throughout the second half. Even though they struggled they kept on shooting the ball.

Eagan’s Bryndan Matthews came up with huge mid-range jump shots and layups in the second half.

The score went back and forth throughout midway in the second half.

Prior Lake kept getting steals and came up with layups and jump shots late in the contest.

Eagan hung around as they didn’t back down. Prior Lake however came up with the 93-92 victory over Eagan.

The leading scorer for Eagan was Matthews with 46 points.

The leading scorers for Prior Lake were Schultz with 23 points, Bair 21 points, Heidecker with 15 points and McKernan with 14 points.
