The Minnesota Timberwolves have hired Richard Leonard "Rick" Adelman to be their head coach. Adelman replaces Darrell Kurt Rambis who was fired after the 2010-2011 basketball season.

MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES SIGN KURT RAMBIS AS THE HEAD COACH
The Minnesota Timberwolves and coach Kurt Rambis have agreed on a four-year contract worth in excess of $8 million. He was an assistant with the Los Angeles Lakers before becoming the head coach with the Timberwolves.
