BOLD WENT UP AGAINST BLOOMING PRAIRIE IN THE CLASS A STATE FOOTBALL FINAL

On Nov. 29, BOLD took on Blooming Prairie in the Class A State Football championship game.

BOLD kicked off to Blooming Prairie to start the game. Blooming Prairie took over on their own 29-yard line. Blooming Prairie kept the ball on the ground on their first drive. On 4th-and-11 Blooming Prairie punted the ball. 

BOLD took over on their own 30-yard line. BOLD went to the air on their first drive of the game. Blooming Prarie’s Gabe Hagen came up with an 18-yard interception that led to a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good.

With 9:52 left in the first quarter, the score was Blooming Prairie 7, BOLD 0. 

BOLD took over on its own 24-yard line. BOLD tried the short yard passing routs early. The Blooming Prairie defense stepped up big and slowed down the offense. BOLD punted on 4th-and-long.

Blooming Prairie took over on their own 48-yard line. Blooming Prairie looked to move the ball down the field both through the running game and the passing attack. On 4th-and-8 Blooming Prairie punted the ball.

BOLD took over on their own 16-yard line. BOLD kept on looking to move the ball down the field. They were able to get past the Blooming Prairie defense. BOLD’S Gavin Voskia came up with receptions that moved the ball down the field. Drew Sagendahl came up with a 15-yard reception for a touchdown. The two-point conversion was good.

With 4:35 left in the first quarter, the score was BOLD 8, Blooming Prairie 7.

Blooming Prairie took over on their own 34-yard line. Blooming Prairie continued to move the ball down the field.

Blooming Prairie called a timeout with 3:43 left in the first quarter. The score was BOLD 8, Blooming Prairie 7.

Blooming Prairie moved the ball down the field as they looked to make first downs. Mitchell Fiebiger came up with a first down reception. That set up a 9-yard touchdown reception by Matthew Pryor. The extra point attempt was good.

With1:04 left in the first quarter, the score was Blooming Prairie 14, BOLD 8.

BOLD took over on their own 33-yard line. BOLD moved the ball downfield once again.

After one quarter of play, the score was Blooming Prairie 14, BOLD 8.

BOLD punted on 4th-and-5. Blooming Prairie took over on their own 29-yard line. Blooming Prairie went through the air as Alex Baldwin came up with a 20-yard reception. Bradley Simon came up with a reception. Blooming Prairie punted on 4th-and-7.

BOLD took over on their own 17-yard line. BOLD went long and Blake Plass came up with a 34-yard reception. BOLD went long but were not able to get a first down. On 4th-and-9 BOLD punted the ball.

Blooming Prairie took over on their own 20-yard line. Blooming Prairie Alex Baldwin looked to move the ball down the field on rushing plays.

Blooming Prairie called a timeout with 7:06 left in the second quarter. The score was Blooming Prairie 14, BOLD 8.

Blooming Prairie Mitchell Fiebiger came up with a first down reception. Matthew Pryor came up with another first down run. Gabe Hagen came up with a 25-yard reception for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good.

With 4:02 left in the second quarter. The score was Blooming Prairie 21, BOLD 8.

BOLD took over on their own 40-yard line. BOLD continued to move the ball down the field as they got everyone involved in the offense.

BOLD called a timeout with 3:03 left in the second quarter. The score was Blooming Prairie 21, BOLD 8.

The defense stepped up and slowed down the BOLD offense. The defense continued to pester the quarterback. BOLD’s Matthew Moorse came up with a 38-yard reception for a first down.

BOLD called a timeout with 32 seconds left in the second quarter. The score was Blooming Prairie 21, BOLD 8.

Blake Plass came up with a 14-yard touchdown reception. The extra point attempt was good.

With 27 seconds left in the second quarter, the score was Blooming Prairie 21, BOLD 15.

 Blooming Prairie took over on their own 34-yard line.

BOLD called a timeout with 21 seconds left in the second quarter. The score was Blooming Prairie 21, BOLD 15.

At halftime, the score was Blooming Prairie 21, BOLD 15.

Blooming Prairie kicked off to start the third quarter. BOLD took over on its own 24-yard line. BOLD’S Jordan Sagedahl came up with long runs that kept the chains moving. BOLD long as Drew Sagedahl came up with a 30-yard reception. BOLD turned the ball over on downs.

Blooming Prairie took over and kept the ball on the ground. Gabe Hagen came up with a reception that moved the chains. Bradley Simon came up with a 37-yard reception. Gabe Hagen came up with a 12-yard reception for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good.

With 5:44 left in the third quarter, the score was Blooming Prairie 28, BOLD 15.

BOLD moved the ball down the field once again as they kept to the running attack. BOLD punted on 4th-down.

Blooming Prairie took over on their own 30-yard line. Gabe Hagen came up with a first down reception. Blooming Prairie punted on 4th-and-10.

BOLD took over on its own 31-yard line. BOLD’S Jordan Sagedahl kept on coming up with big plays late in the quarter. BOLD kept on moving the ball down the field.

After three quarters of play, the score was Blooming Prairie 28, BOLD 15.

As the fourth quarter for underway BOLD continued to look for the end zone. Blooming Prairie took over on downs.

Blooming Prairie took over on their own 18-yard line.

BOLD called a timeout with 11:40 left in the fourth quarter.

Blooming Prairie’s Gabe Hagen came up with a first down reception. Alex Baldwin came up with a 10-yard reception. Blooming Prairie continued to move the ball down the field through the air. Karson Vigeland came up with a 12-yard touchdown reception. The two-point conversion  was not good. 

With 10:04 left in the fourth quarter, the score was Blooming Prairie 34, BOLD 15.

BOLD continued to move the ball down the field again. They punted on 4th-and-10.

Blooming Prairie took over on their own 41-yard line. Blooming Prairie moved the ball down the field again as they kept all options open. Matthew Pryor continued to move the ball down the field with defenders hanging on him.

Blooming Prairie called a timeout with 3:53 left in the fourth quarter. The score was Blooming Prairie 34, BOLD 15.

Blooming Prairie moved the ball down the field as they looked to get into the end zone late in the game. Pryor came up with a 6-yard run for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good.

With 45 seconds left in regulation, the score was Blooming Prairie 41, BOLD 15.

Both teams played hard. In the end Blooming Prairie came away with the 41-15 victory over BOLD.

MINNEAPOLIS NORTH WENT UP AGAINST BLOOMING PRAIRIE IN THE CLASS A STATE FOOTBALL QUARTERFINALS

On Nov. 7 Richfield High School was the site for the Class A Minnesota State High School League’s quarterfinal state football game. Minneapolis North went up against Blooming Prairie. Both teams came into the game undefeated.

North kicked off to Blooming Prairie to start the game. Blooming Prairie took over on their own 23-yard line. Blooming Prairie quarterback John Rumpza looked to get the ball to his receivers. On fourth-and seven Blooming Prairie punted the ball.

North took over on their own 44-yard line. On the first play of scrimmage Blooming Prairie’s Tristen Haberman picked off a pass. Haberman came up with a huge reception to get Blooming Prairie inside the red zone. Jake Decker came up with a four-yard touchdown reception. The two-point conversion was not good.

With 6:11 left in the first quarter the score was Blooming Prairie 6, North 0.  

North took over on their own 23-yard line. North’s Josh Cunningham came up with some key runs for his team. North quarterback Tyler Johnson was able to get the ball to Malik Matthew for a first down. North did a good job of moving the ball quickly down the field. North’s Malik Matthew came up with an eight yard touchdown reception. The two-point conversion was good.

With 3:05 left in the first quarter the score was North 8, Blooming Prairie 6.  

Blooming Prairie looked to keep the ball moving down the field. On fourth-and-11 Blooming Prairie punted the ball.

North took over on their own 38-yard line. North’s Johnson came up with some big plays as he was able to scramble away from the Blooming Prairie defense.  

After one quarter of play the score was North 8, Blooming Prairie 6.

North turned it over on downs.

Blooming Prairie called a timeout with 11:57 left in the second quarter. The score remained North 8, Blooming Prairie 6.

Blooming Prairie punted on fourth-and-10.

North took over on their own 19-yard line. North’s Matthew came up with a first down reception.

Johnson came up with a 23-yard first down scamper. North was called for holding. That brought the ball back 10 yards.

North called a timeout with 9:06 left in the second quarter. The score was North 8, Blooming Prairie 6.

North looked deep as Azerick Rodgers looked to come up with some receptions midway through the second quarter. Blooming Prairie’s Jake Decker intercepted a pass in the end zone. Blooming Prairie took over on the 20-yard line.

Blooming Prairie’s Jake Decker was all over the field as he was able to chew up yards while trying to get first downs. Blooming Prairie punted the ball on fourth-and-10.

Johnson came up with a 91-yard touchdown run. The two-point conversion was no good.

With 4:05 left in the second quarter the score was North 14, Blooming Prairie 6.

Blooming Prairie didn’t move the ball on offense. They punted the ball on fourth down.

North took over on their own 34-yard line. Issac Johnson continued to come up with some huge runs.

Thomas came up with some few big runs late in the second quarter. On fourth-and-eight North went for it but Johnson’s run came up just short of a touchdown. Blooming Prairie took over on the one yard line.

At halftime the score was North 14, Blooming Prairie 6.

Blooming Prairie kicked off to start the third quarter. North’s Josh Cunningham came up some nice receptions. Decker came up with another interception.

Blooming Prairie looked to move the ball down the field on short runs. North took over on downs.

North’s Thomas kept on coming up with some big plays throughout the game.  

After three quarters of play the score was North 14, Blooming Prairie 6.

North fumbled the ball and Blooming Prairie recovered the ball. Blooming Prairie turned the ball over on downs.

North got the ball back and they had trouble moving the ball down the field.

Blooming Prairie used their running game. On fourth-and-eight Blooming Prairie was not able to get a first down. They turned it over on downs.

The Blooming Prairie’s defense came up big as they were able to come up with some big stops late in the game.

In a hard fought game North came away with the 14-6 victory over Blooming Prairie.

After the game Tyler Johnson said, “It was a rough victory, I told my teammates to stay strong.”

North head coach Charles Adams said, “I told the kids one game at a time, we have good athletes. Johnson put the whole team on his back.”
