LACROSS YMCA-SIMPSON TOOK ON THE HOWARD PULLEY 17U WHITE TEAM IN A BASKETBALL GAME

LaCross YMCA-Simpson went up against Howard Pulley 17u White team. The game got off to a quick start as Pulley jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead with 14:15 in the first half. Both teams and coaches were fired up as the game got underway. The coaches did a good job of instructing players on where they should be on the floor.

YMCA-Simpson woke up after that initial lead and went on a 5-0 run of then own to tie the game.

Pulley looked to get the ball into the hands of Harry Sonie. Sonie was all over the floor. On the offensive end he got his teammates involved in the offense. He would call out the plays that he wanted to run and he would run the Pulley offense.

Darrion Scott also for Pulley was all over the floor. He took the ball hard to the basket. Scott also did a good job of getting his teammates open on the offensive end. He was not afraid to shoot the ball if he thought he could score.

At halftime the score was Pulley 46 and LaCross YMCA-Simpson 24.

The second half got off to a quick start as Pulley kept on attacking the basket and proving to be too quick for YMCA-Simpson.

YMCA-Simpson didn't give up as they kept on defending Pulley and trying to slow them down on the offensive end but it was to no avail as Pulley kept on bombarding YMCA-Simpson with baskets.

Kamali Jahir Chambers for Pulley was all over the floor on the offensive end. He would get his teammates involved in the plays and also look for his shot if he thought he could take a good one.

YMCA-Simpson stayed in a zone defense and that made it easy for Pulley to pick apart the defense and score baskets at will.

In a game where the score got out of hand early, Howard Pulley came away with the 78-50 blowout victory over YMCA-Simpson. 

IN A 16U BASKETBALL GAME THE MINNESOTA HEAT TOOK ON THE HOWARD PULLEY PANTHERS

The Minnesota Heat took on the Howard Pulley Panthers in a 16u division basketball game. The game got out to a quick start as each team raced out and tried scoring lay-ups.

The Heat started off playing man-to-man defense. From the start the Pulley was a little quicker then the Heat.

The score was close throughout the first half as neither team went on a run.

The Minnesota Heat tried to stay up with Pulley in the first half. It was a competitive first half as each team battled.

The game was close throughout the first half. Neither team got more than a 10 point lead.

At halftime the score was Howard Pulley 29 and Minnesota Heat 25.

As the second half got underway it was just as competitive as the first half. Both teams played tight man-to-man defense and didn't give up any easy baskets.

The score went back and forth as there were many ties and lead changes in the second half.

The game was close both teams played very hard as neither team gave up easy baskets. They were both into the game mentally and physically.

Both teams were able to drain the long ball. They knew where they were shooting it from and they made it into a three-point shooting contest.

Pulley was too much for the Heat to handle, in the end Pulley came away with the hard fought 67-56 victory over the Heat.

THE OSA CRUSADERS SMITH TOOK ON THE IOWA CORNSHARKS IN A 16U BASKETBALL GAME

The OSA Crusaders went up against the Iowa Cronsharks in a basketball game. The game got off to a quick start as each team raced up and down the floor trading baskets.

Both teams looked to get into an offensive rhythm early in the contest. The Cornsharks started off in a zone defense as they wanted to spread the Crusaders out on the offensive end.

The Cornsharks looked to get the ball into the hands of guard Tyus Riley. Riley was all over the floor. He did a good job of getting his team set up on the offensive end.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half. Neither team put up many shots as the defensive pressure was intense.

Both teams went after rebounds on both ends of the floor. There were many tie-ups in the paint area as each team went after rebounds.

The Cornsharks were not afraid to shoot the ball from anywhere on the floor. Riley did a good job of setting the tempo for his team. He dribbled the ball just outside of the three-point line while his teammates set up the play that he called.

Terrance Bush for the Sharks did a good job of bringing the ball down the court for his team. He and Riley shared the point guard possessions as they each took a spot running the point guard spot.

The Crusaders battled to get shots up .They kept on looking to get the big men involved in the offense.

Terrence Bush of the Cornsharks did a good job of getting everyone involved in the offense. They ran a pass and cut offense so everyone was moving on the offensive end. This enabled everyone to get involved on the offensive end.

The game remained close throughout the first half. At halftime the score was Iowa Cornsharks 32 and the OSA Crusaders 27.

As the second half got underway both teams continued to keep pace with each other. Neither team went on a run in the opening minutes of the half.

Both teams seemed to trade baskets throughout a good portion of the first half. It was a very competitive game. Both teams gave it everything that they had on both ends of the floor.

The Cornsharks went to a zone defense in the second half. They looked to spread the Crusaders out and force them to make long jump shots.

Both teams played very well and played with a scene of urgency. It was a hard fought game by both teams as neither team gave up easy baskets throughout the course of the game.

The coaches did a good job of managing the game. The players for both teams seemed to be relaxed and under control when they were on the court. 

The Cornsharks did a good job of moving the ball. They didn't stand around on the offensive end. They set good picks and made good cuts away from the ball.

The Iowa Cornsharks came away with the 60-47 victory over OSA Crusaders. 

ALL IOWA ATTACK TOOK ON THE MIDWEST STARS IN A BASKETBALL GAME

All Iowa Attack Jenson took on OSA Crusader-Curran in a basketball game. The game got off to a quick start start as each team raced up and down the floor hitting shots.

It did take long for each team to get into a shooting rhythm. Both teams played zone defense for a large portion of the first half.

Midwest Stars used a full court press on defense. They were able to get All Iowa out of their shooting rhythm. On the same token All Iowa Attack made it difficult for the Stars to shine.

Donnell Crawford-Begg for All Iowa Attack did a good job of getting to the basket. He was able to find his shot and hit jump shots from just inside the three-point line. If he didn't feel like he had a good shot he would pass it out to one of his teammates so he could shoot the ball.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half. Each team play hard on both sides of the basket.

At halftime the score was Midwest Stars 27 and All Iowa Attack 24.

As the second half got underway both teams played their hearts out. Both teams were very aggressive.

The score remand close in the second half. Neither team went on a run even though it was an up pace tempo.

Deion Wells-Ross was all over the floor. He knew where his teammates were on the floor at all times and he was able to get them the ball in spots that he knew his teammates would be able to hit the shot.

The game came down to the wire. In the end the Midwest Stars came away with the 59-58 victory.

ALL IOWA ATTACK WENT UP AGAINST HOUSTON HOOPS

In the second game of the day it was All Iowa Attack going up against Houston Hoops. Both of these teams came out fired up.

All Iowa came out and made some quick shots and they gained an early lead. That didn’t stop Houston Hoops as they went on a run early in the first half. Harrison Barns came to play. He made some fantastic plays early on in the contest.

Both teams put it on each other in the early goings. Harrison Barns also showed that he has a long range jump shot as he was able to hit some three point shots in the first half.

The Huston Hoops team didn’t back down from Barns and the Attack team. They also played very well in the first half. They were diving on the ball for loose balls. They were also several ties and lead changes in the first half.

Houston Hoops used a full court press and that didn’t seem to bother the All Iowa Attack team. They were able to break the press.

This game went up and down the court in the first half. Neither team was able to make a run. Both teams played aggressively. At half time the score was All Iowa Attack 39 and Houston Hoops 33.

As the second half got underway both of these teams came out fired up ready to go. Houston did go on a run to open the second half. But that run was short lived.

Brandon Peters for Houston Hoops played well. He has one nice vertical jump he can really fly. He had a few nice slam dunks in the game. He also was the guy that they looked for emotion on the court. He really was the vocal leader on the court the Hoops team.

This game was close throughout the second half. Neither team was able to go on a run. All Iowa played a lot of zone defense in the second half. They were also able to attack the Hoops pressure.

The game was tied at 65 with 5:00 left in the contest. This game came down to the wire with each team going at the other. All Iowa was able to swing the ball around the three point arc and they were looking for Harrison Barns to make the shots. He was able to hit those shots. Houston Hoops was able to come away with the 83-81 victory. Harrison Barns ended the game with 27 points.

Harrison Barns played well in this game he continued to show why he is one of the top athletes in this tournament.
