MINNESOTA PUMP AND RUN TAKES ON THE WISCONSIN SWING IN CHAMPIONSHIP GAME THAT ENDS IN OVER TIME

In the championship game in the 17U division it was the Minnesota Pump and Run taking on the Wisconsin Swing. Minnesota Pump and Run started the game out playing in a zone defense. The Pump and run continued to want to push the ball up the court. They wanted to get the ball up the court as fast as they could.

For Pump and Run Carlos Emmory had a couple of nice dunks in the first half, he has rally played well in this tournament. He has been strong with the ball and he hasn’t made any dumb decisions.


The first half went back and forth. Neither team was able to come out with a commanding lead midway through the first half.


Josh Gasser for the Wisconsin Swing has played well in the first half. He has been able to make some shots and has played aggressive defense.


Both teams have played extremely well in the first half. Neither team was able to go out on a run. Steve Tucker hit some key shots in the first half for Pump and Run.


The Sting really put it to the Pump and Run in the first half. They have played strong in the first half. Both of these teams went at each other in the first half. The Pump and Run team was not able to go on their runs that they were able to do in the previous games.

At half time the score was Minnesota Pump and Run 27 and Wisconsin Swing 34.


As the second half got underway the Minnesota Pump and Run came out on fire. They came out with a lot of confidence. Carlos Emmory hit a few good three pointers. There was a lot more intensity shown in the second half.


Carlos Emmory has played really well he has had a few nice dunks in this game. He didn’t care who was guarding him he just took the ball hard to the basket.


The Pump and Run were able to go on a little run in the second half. Both of these teams didn’t give up. The Sting played very well in the game.


The game went back and forth throughout the game. With 53 second on the clock Pump and Run had a 54-52 lead. Chip Rank hit a three point shot with 23 seconds left to go in regulation that made the score tied at 56 apiece. The score was tied at 56 at the end of regulation.

There was a 2:00 over time period. Pump and Run tried to stall in the overtime period. They passed the ball around the three point arc. They made the Wisconsin Swing come out and guard them from the outside. With 5 seconds left in first over time fowled Marquis Manson Jonathan Crockett. He went up and he made his free throws. Minnesota Pump and Run was able to come away with the 60-56 overtime victory.

17U MINNESOTA PUMP AND RUN TOOK ON BIG GAME SPORTS

In the first game on Sunday morning it was the Minnesota Pump and Run against Big Game Sports.

Big Game Sports came out playing man to man defense. They also looked to get the ball out of the net and get it up the court.


Pump and Run started playing zone on the defensive end. They were able to double the guy on the wing. Dyami Starks showed some spark early in the game as he was able to beat his defender off the dribble.


Pump and Run was able to get the ball inside to their big guy, who was able to go up strong to the basket. They usually
posted Kevin Noreen in the low block. Big Game Sports didn’t have any one of their size who could battle with those two.

For Big Game Sports Jamar Franks was able to make some nice moves. He played good defense while he was out on the court. He was usually matched up against one of Pump And Run’s guards.


Dyami Starks was able to come up with some nice shots in the first half. Pump and Run was able to build a cushion at the end of the first half as they were able to just drain shot after shot.


In a half that has been pretty much one sided the Pump and Run took a 45-22 lead over Big Game Sports at the half.

As the second half got underway both teams came out fired up ready to play. Pump and Run continued where they left off in the first half as they continued to dominate. Big Game Sports didn’t step down they continued to play hard throughout the contest.


We had a rain delay with 11:29 left to go in regulation. The roof was leaking over the court so there was a stoppage in play as the officials cleaned up the court of the water. After some tape was placed on the floor to add some traction for the players we were back to action with the game and score way out of reach.


The second half was just like the first half as the Pump and Run boys were able to come away with a land slide victory over Big Game Sports. The final of the contest was Pump and Run 67 and Big Game Sports 47.

MINNESOTA COMETS TOOK ON THE MINESOTA PUMP AND RUN IN A THRILLER

In the 17U division it was the Pump and Run going up against the Comets. Each of these teams came out swinging. Pump and Run looked to push the ball in transition to start the game off.


For the Comets Mike Johnson was impressive from the start. He brought the ball up and was able to make some nice passes in congestion.


The Comets were able to get a lead on this Pump and Run team. Pump and Run played zone defense in the first half. Comets were able to get make shots in the first half.


Carlos Emmory has been able to battle with the big guys down low in the block. He has also made some good drives to the basket in the first half.


The Comets were able to shut down the Pump and Run big men. They were not able to get the quick shots that they were able to get in games prior to this one. But Pump and Run has been in this siltation before. They know how it is to be down and they always seem to find a way to battle back.


This game went back and forth in the first half. The score at half time was Comets 30and Pump and Run 34.



Dyami Starks hit a buzzer beater to send the first half.


Each team came out aggressively in the second half. Pump and Run looked to push the ball up the court. In the second half Darius Claire played really played well in the second half.


The Comets used a full court press in the second half. They were able to fluster the Pump and Run. The Comets went on a run in the second half.


Each team went at each other in the second half. The Comets didn’t let up. The game was tied at 57 with 3:30 left to go in regulation.


This Comets team has been able to take it to the Pump and Run team. This is the closest any team has been to the Pump and Run. The Comets were able to control the last three minutes of play. This game did come down to the wire. Pump and Run was able to hold on to the victory in a hard fought game. The final was Pump and Run 67 and Minnesota Comets 64.

TNL EXPRESS TAKES ON MINNESOTA PUMP AND RUN 17U

It was Sunday morning and we are back in the first game of the Sunday session. In the first game it was TNL Express going up against Minnesota Pump and Run.


Both of these teams started off looking to get the ball up the court. Pump and Run started out playing zone defense.


Both teams were able to make shots early in the contest. TNL looked to push the ball up the court in transition.
Both teams traded baskets throughout the first half. Neither team was able to make a run in the first half.
Jake Kreuser for Pump and Run had a couple of nice moves in the first half. He was able to shake off his defender with a head fake and go in for a nice layup.


TNL had trouble breaking the Pump and Run press. Pump and Run did a good job getting the ball up the court.
Both teams were able to keep the score close throughout the first half. Each team was able to counter the others scoring chances.


Aaron Ernest Anderson from Pump and Run was a little spark plug throughout the game by coming up with some nice shots in the first half.


TNL was able to make some easy shots in the first half. Pump and Run kind of went to sleep and TNL was able to find the back door and get some wide open shots at the basket.


This has been a very competitive first half. TNL Express was able to go on a run late in the late in the first half. Pump and Run didn’t give up in the first half.


At half time the score was TNL Express 35 and Pump and Run 28.


In the start of the second half Pump and Run came out fired up and they were able to make some quick shots.
Turnover’s hurt the Pump and Run team for most of the game. Everyone on the team had a case of the fumbles.
Pump and Run tried to make a comeback in the second half. They were able to do that. Dyami Starks was able to make some nice plays and lead the Pump and Run back into the game.


Each team battled in the second half. Throughout this tournament the Pump and Run guys really did a good job of coming together when they were down and deciding to put up shots in critical times in the game. They did that again here in this game.


The Pump and Run was able to go on a run in the second half and battled their way back into the game and they were able to come away with a hard fought victory.


TNL Express played a tough game they were able to expose Pump and Run in the first half. They really put the pursuer on TNL.


In the end Pump and Run came away with the 65-56 victory.

MINNESOTA PUMP AND RUN TAKE ON 94 FEET OF GAME

Minnesota Pump and Run took on 94 feet of game. Pump and Run was able to come out and take control of the first half.


In another dominated performance in the first half Pump and Run was able to get the ball up the court. They were able to get a quick start once again. Each one of their games they have been able to get out and get a quick start.
The Pump and Run team was on fire in the first half. They were just able to play good defense and was able to hit shots.



At the half the score was Pump and Run 42 and 94 Feet of Game 17.



94 Feet of game started out the second half really slow. They were not able to find the basket in the second half.
Carlos Emmory came down and had a nice dunk mid way through the second half. He really played aggressive during the second half.



In the second half Pump and Run went right back to work. They were able to lock down the 94 Feet of Game.
Aaron Anderson had a nice game. He really played aggressively throughout the whole game.
Minnesota Pump and Run was able to come away with the 68-29 victory.

IT’S TIME FOR THE BIG BOYS

The Minnesota Select are taking on the Pump and Run. Each of these teams got to do battle quickly here in the first half.

For the Pump and Run Aaron Anderson did a good job in the first half of controlling the offensive end.
The Minnesota Select was not able to find there shot early in the first half. Pump and Run got out and did just that for most of the first half.

Jake Kreuser for the Pump and Run just went to work in the first half. He was a force to deal with in the low block.

The first half got out of had very quickly. Pump and Run took over from the get go. At half time the score was Pump and Run 40 and Minnesota Select 13.

The Pump and Run were able to keep the pressure on in the second half. They kept the press on for a majority of the second half.

Dyami Starks who is from Duluth East played well in the game. He had some nice moves to the basket as well.
Aaron Anderson was able to get the ball up the court and lead the crew on the break for most of the game.
Darius Alford Claire also had a nice over all game.

The Pump and Run were able to come away with the 66-37 victory in the first 17 U game of the day.
