HOPKINS WENT UP AGAINST ST. PAUL JOHNSON IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Hopkins went up against St. Paul Johnson in a boys' basketball contest. Going into the game Hopkins had a record of 12-1. Johnson had a record of 6-5.

Both teams looked to get the ball down the court as quickly as they could. They each wanted to set the tempo early.

Hopkins took their time of the offensive end. They passed the ball around the three-point line. Hopkins looked to get the ball into the hands of Siyani Chambers. Chambers was all over the court.

Hopkins Andre Travaris McDonald was all over the floor. He hit shots and strongly drove to the basket.

Marcus Marteze Marshall took the ball hard to the basket. He was not afraid to shoot the ball.

Both teams did a good job of pushing the ball down the court. The pace was quick.

Hopkins moved the ball well on offense. Zachary Stahl had a nice slam dunk that gave his team energy. On the defensive end he was able to slow down the guys he defended.

The score was close throughout the first half. Neither team went on a run.

Hopkins switched between man-to-man and zone defense. They were able to keep Johnson guessing at what defense that they were playing.

At halftime the score was Hopkins 44 and Johnson 39.

At 16:04 left in regulation there was a huge shoving match that broke out. After order was restored the game went on as normal.

The game was very physical on both ends of the floor. Both teams gave it everything that they had.

Hopkins went on a little run midway through the second half. Johnson had a hard time making shots for a period of time.

Jamal Dale Davis for Hopkins made shots. His teammates knew where he was on the floor and they got him the ball.

I thought that both teams played well throughout the whole game. Johnson didn't back down to Hopkins.

Hopkins came away with the 99-83 victory over Johnson.

GALE-ETTRICK-TREMPEALEAU WENT UP AGAINST ST. PAUL CENTRAL IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau (GET) went up against St. Paul Central in a boys' basketball game.

Central looked to get the ball into the hands of Markus Jermon Taylor-Knighten. Taylor-Knighten was all over the court. He was able to hit shots.

GET went on a run to start the game. They got off to an early 9-4 run with 14:00 left in regulation.

GET was in a zone defense. They looked to spread Central out.

Central had a hard time making shots from the field.

GET got the ball in the hands of their guard Riley Bambenek. He was all over the floor. Bambenek made some nice baskets in the first half.

Central didn't get down on themselves. They kept on attacking the basket. Central tried to make a comeback late in the first half.

At halftime the score was GET 41 and Central 23.

Central stayed in their full court press. GET was able to get right around the Central defenders.

GET came away with the overwhelming 66-44 victory over Central.

LaCROSSE AQUINAS WENT UP AGAINST EDEN PRAIRIE IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

LaCrosse Aquinas went up against Eden Prairie in a boys' basketball game. The game got off to a quick start as each team traded baskets.

Eden Prairie got the ball into the hands of Abrian Carpenter. Carpenter was all over the floor. On the defensive end he was able to slow down the other guy.

Eden Prairie got a couple of quick shots to fall. Aquinas didn't get back down as they didn't give up on either end.

Eden Prairie's Andre Wallace was all over the court. On the offensive end he was able to blow by his defenders.

Carpenter was able to make some good wide open lay-ups. Wallace continued to drive hard to the basket.

Aquinas didn't back down in the first half even though it was tough for them to make a shot.

Eden Prairie went on a run to end the first half.

At halftime the score was Eden Prairie 49 and LaCrosse Aquinas 25.

Nolan Ritter for LaCrosse was all over the court. He was able to knock down shots.

Sander Mohn for Eden Prairie got hot in the second half. Mohn was all over the floor.

Eden Prairie didn't let off the gas in the second half. LaCrosse was not able to get their shots to drop in the game.

Eden Prairie came away with the commanding 72-45 victory over LaCrosse Aquinas.

The leading scorers for LaCrosse Aquinas were Quinn McCartney with 14 points and Nolan Ritter with 13 points. LaCrosse shot 18-52 from the field. That included going 4-12 from behind the three-point line. They were 5-8 from the free throw line. They brought down 39 total rebounds including 26 on the defensive end.

The leading scorers for Eden Prairie were Sander Mohn and Abrian Carpenter with 15 points each. Andre Wallace and Anthony Anderson each scored 11 points. Eden Prairie shot 29-74 from the field. That included going 6-22 from behind the three-point line. They were 8-9 from the free throw line. They brought down 44 total rebounds including 24 on the defensive end. 
 

ST. PAUL JOHNSON WENT UP AGAINST ONALASKA IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

St. Paul Johnson went up against Onalaska out of Wisconsin in a boys' basketball game. The game got off to a slow start as it took awhile for each team to feel each other out.

Onalaska took their time on the offensive end. They passed the ball around the three-point line to take time off the clock.

Marcus Marteze Marshall took the ball down the court. He knew where his teammates were on the court. Marshall got them involved in the offense.

Johnson pushed the ball down the court in transition. They looked to get quick baskets and they were able to do that.

Matt Thomas for Onalaska got into the offensive groove as he was able to get a few of his shots to drop.

Marshall was all over the floor. He was able to get his shot going late in the first half.

Johnson went on a run late in the half.

At halftime the score was Onalaska 26 and St. Paul Johnson 22.

The second half started out on a quick pace. Both teams raced up and down the court scoring baskets in transition.

The score went back and forth for a good portion of the second half. The game was tight throughout the second half.

Johnson cranked up their defense a few notches in the second half as they made it more difficult for Onalaska to shoot the ball.

Neither team gave up easy shots.

Onalaska started the game out hot. They were able to get a big lead on St. Paul Johnson to start the game. Johnson did a good job of chipping away at the deficit.

Onalaska's Ben Socha made wining shot at the buzzer as Onalaska came away with the 61-59 victory over Johnson.

The leading scorers for Johnson were Marcus Marteze Marshall with 15 points, Bajuan Adams with 11 points and Quashingm Smith-Pugh with 10 points.

The leading scorers for Onalaska were Matt Thomas with 30 points, Clint Rihn with 11 points and Zach Schmidt with 10 points. 
 

MILWAUKEE RIVERSIDE WENT UP AGAINST HOPKINS IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Milwaukee Riverside went up against Hopkins in a boys' basketball game. University of Minnesota head men's basketball coach Tubby Smith and his assistant coaches were in the building watching the game.

Hopkins started the game in a man-to-man defense. They looked to set the tempo of the game from the start.

Hopkins got the ball into the hands of Jamal Dale Davis. Davis was all over the court. On the offensive end he was able to get to the basket.

For Riverside Shomari Triggs took the ball hard to the basket. His teammates knew where he was on the floor and got him the ball where they knew he could make it. He hit both the two and three-point shots well.

Hopkins was able to bother the Riverside players with their smothering full court press.

Andre Travaris McDonald for Hopkins took the ball hard to the basket. He knew where his teammates were on the floor and got them involved in the offense.

Hopkins Kamali Chambers knocked down some deep three-point shots to keep his team in the game.

Hopkins went on a run midway through the first half. Riverside had trouble hitting shots.

Hopkins Zachary Stahl was all over the court on the offensive end. He hit his shots.

At halftime the score was Hopkins 64 and Riverside 25.

Hopkins started the second half on fire. They kept on hitting shot. Riverside didn't back down. They were tough and fought hard.

Both teams dove on the floor for loose balls. There were many tie jump balls.

Jacob Wright for Hopkins hit shots. He was not afraid to shoot the ball. His teammates found him and he was able to knock down shots.

Hopkins came away with the 91-58 victory over Milwaukee Riverside.

The leading scorers for Milwaukee Riverside were Phillip Nolan with 13 points, De'Andre Downey with 9 points, and Bakari Triggs and Jalen Currie both with 8 points. The leading scorers for Hopkins were Siyani Chambers with 20 points, Jacob Wright and Zachary Stahl each with 18 points, and Demitrius Martin with 17 points.

ROSEVILLE WENT UP AGAINST ST. JOHN LUTHERAN IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Roseville went up against St. John Lutheran High School out of Ocala, Florida. The game got off to a quick start as St. John Lutheran got a 9-3 lead with 16:22 left in the first half when Roseville called a timeout. After the first run St. John went to sleep and that's when Roseville took over and the offensive end.

Roseville got the ball into the hands of Logan Donald Brown. Brown was not afraid to shoot the ball from anywhere on the court.

Both teams traded baskets midway through the first half. Neither team gave up easy shots.

St. John was having problems with the Roseville's press. They turned it over under pressure.

Both Harrison Bucy and Jordan Smith were able to hit shots for St. John Lutheran.

Roseville went on a run and St. John was not able to hit a shot. St. John was not afraid to shoot the ball.

Emeche Wells for Roseville was all over the court. On the offensive end he got his teammates involved in the offense.

Roseville's Jordan Burich and Kobe Critchley were both able to knock down shots for their team.

St. John switched between man-to-man and zone defense. They looked to confuse Roseville.

Roseville came up with a few steals and they were able to score baskets off the steals.

At halftime the score was Roseville 65 and St. John Lutheran 25.

As the second half got underway Roseville continued to take the ball hard to the basket and make shots.

St. John Lutheran didn't have an answerer for Roseville in the second half.

St. John was not able to get their offense going in the game. Roseville was way too deep and talented. Roseville ran away with the game. The final of the game was Roseville 106 and St. John 49.

The leading scorers for St. John were Jordan Smith with 16 points and Harrison Bucy with 10 points. The leading scorers for Roseville were Logan Donald Brown with 20 points, Jordan Burich with 15 points and Kobe Critchley with 20 points.

MILWAUKEE RIVERSIDE WENT UP AGAINST ST. PAUL CENTRAL IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME IN THE EAST METRO SHOWCASE

St. Paul Johnson High School hosted an East Metro boys' basketball showcase. Milwaukee Riverside went up against St. Paul Central. Riverside came into the game with a record of 10-2 while St. Paul Central had a record of 3-9.

Riverside won the tip and the first basket was by Jalen Currie for Riverside. Riverside took their time on the offensive end.

It took a while for each of these teams to get use to each other.

Central looked to get the ball into the hands of Markus Jermon Taylor-Knighten. Taylor-Knighten got his teammates involved in the offense.

Riverside caught fire. They went on a run early in the contest. Riverside point guard Jalen Currie took the ball hard to the basket. He hit a few nice jump-shots.

Central called a timeout with 13:37 left in the first half. The score was Riverside 13 and Central 5.

Riverside looked to score baskets in transition. Central was able to keep up with them.

Bakari Triggs for Riverside was all over the court. His teammates knew where he was on the floor and got him the ball where he was comfortable. Triggs shot the ball well from wherever he shot it.

Central went cold midway through the first half. They had a period where they couldn't make a basket. They kept on shooting and didn't get down on themselves.

Patrick Chatman brought the ball down the court and got his teammates involved in the offense.

At halftime the score was Riverside 44 and Central 20.

Riverside continued to shoot the ball well to start the second half. Triggs continued to make his lay-ups.

Central had difficulty shooting the ball throughout the game. Riverside did a good job of getting everyone involved in the offense.

Triggs kept on hitting shots. It didn't matter where he was on the floor he was not afraid to shoot it.

Central was not able to get into an offensive flow. Riverside came away with the lopsided 72-48 victory over Central.
