KAUKAUNA WENT UP AGAINST DELASALLE IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

On Jan. 28, Kaukauna (Wis.) went up against Minneapolis DeLaSalle in a boys’ basketball game. The game was part of the Minnesota vs. Wisconsin Border Battle. The game was played at Apple Valley High School.
DeLaSalle started the game in a man-to-man defense. They also looked to push the ball down the flow in transition.
Kaukauna had a difficult time shooting as they couldn’t make shots that they put up.
DeLaSalle could get everyone involved in the offense. They did a good job of talking to each other on both ends of the floor.
DeLaSalle passed the ball around the 3-point line as they could take time off the clock.
Kaukauna’s Eric Carl came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
DeLaSalle’s Gabe Kalscheur came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. He knew where he was on the floor always.
DeLaSalle could take a lot of time off the clock by swinging the ball
Kaukauna called a timeout with 3:45 left in the first half. The score was DeLaSalle 48, Kaukauna 19.
Even though Kaukauna had a difficult time shooting the ball they kept attacking the basket late in the first half.
At halftime, the score was DeLaSalle 60, Kaukauna 33.
As the second half got underway DeLaSalle continued to get the ball into the hands of Kalscheur and Goanar Mar. Both could make mid-range jump shots and layups.
DeLaSalle continued to push the ball down the floor and got everyone involved in the offense.
Kaukauna kept on feeding Carl and McCabe both of whom stayed hot throughout the second half.
DeLaSalle was a lot quicker than Kaukauna was and Kaukauna struggled shooting the ball throughout the game.
DeLaSalle came away with the 97-65 victory over Kaukauna.
The leading scorers for Kaukauna were Carl with 23 points and McCabe with 19 points.
The leading scorers for DeLaSalle were Kalscheur with 25 points and Mar with 21 points.

MINNEAPOLIS SOUTHWEST WENT UP AGAINST MINNEAPOLIS WASHBURN IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

On Jan. 20, Minneapolis Southwest and Minneapolis Washburn squared off in a boys’ basketball game.
Southwest’s Brennan Hawkins was all over the floor he scored the team’s first 7 points.
Washburn called a timeout with 15:07 left on the clock in the first half. The score was Southwest, 7, Washburn 0.
Hawkins could come up with mid-range jump shots and layups. The defense had a hard time slowing him down on the offensive end.
Washburn had trouble shooting the ball in the first half. Southwest could attack the basket and come up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
Southwest’ continued to get the ball into the hands of Hawkins. Hawkins came up with mid-range jump shots and layups throughout the first half.
The score went back and forth late in the first half. Neither team gave up open looks at the basket.
Washburn could come up with mid-range jump shots and layups late in the first half.
At halftime, the score was Washburn 30, Southwest 27.
As the second half got underway Washburn looked to get the ball into the hands of Albert Demmings and Terell Adams, both of whom came up with mid-range jump shots and jumpers.
The score remained close throughout the second half. Neither team went on a huge run in the second half.
Southwest called a timeout with 12:03 left in regulation. The score was Washburn 38, Southwest 34.
Demmings continued to come up with huge deep 3-point shots in the second half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
Washburn did a good job of distributing the ball and getting everyone involved in the in the offense.
Washburn called a timeout with 6:04 left in the score was Washburn 49, Southwest 42.
Washburn continued to push the ball down the floor and could get everyone involved in the offense.
Washburn came away with the 64-52 victory over Southwest.
The leading scorers for Southwest were Hawkins with 15 points, Caine Knuckles with 9 points and CK Deeq with 8 points.
The leading scorers for Washburn were Demmings with 13 points, Terrell Adams with 12 points and Brandon Charles with 11 points.

EDINA WENT UP AGAINST ORONO IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Edina and Orono squared off against each other in a boys’ basketball game. Orono got the ball into the hands of Ryan Biehn. Biehn made mid-range jump shots and layups.
There were several ties and lead changes early. Then with 8:00 left in the first half Orono strung shots together and they dropped.
Edina called a timeout with 6:55 left in the first half. The score was Orono 27, Edina 19.
The score continued to go back and forth throughout late in the first half.
The Orono offense got going late in the first half.
At halftime, the score was Orono 42, Edina 36.
As the second half got underway Edina continued to get the ball into the hands of Walt McGrory, McGrory came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. If he wasn’t open, he was able to get the ball into his teammates’ hands.
Edina’s Anders Nelson got hot in the second half. He stepped up and knocked down mid-range jump shots and layups. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
Edina’s shots kept dropping with 11:00 minutes left in regulation. McGrory dropped some big shots in the second half. Him and Nelson kept Edina in the game.
There were several ties and lead changes throughout the second half.
Nelson and McGrory both knocked down mid-range jump shots and layups late in the game.
Orono called a timeout with 1:55 left in regulation. The score was Edina 74, Orono 68.
Edina moved the ball well late in the game. They came away with the 80-71 victory over Orono.
The leading scorers for Edina were Nelson and McGory each with 22 points.
The leading scorer for Orono was Bjorland with 18 points.

WACONIA WENT UP AGAINST MINNEHAHA ACADEMY IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Waconia and Minnehaha Academy squared off in a boys’ basketball game. Minnehaha Academy’s Jalen Suggs was all over the floor early. He stepped up and knocked down 3-point baskets and layups. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
Waconia pushed the ball down the floor and scored layups in transition. Waconia did a good job of communicating on the floor, as they called out screens.
Minnehaha looked to trap the ball as soon as Minnehaha brought the ball across half court.
Minnehaha look a lot of time off the clock by passing the ball around the 3-point line.
There were multiple ties and lead changes throughout the first half.
Waconia called a timeout with 7:15 left in the first half. The score was Waconia 15, Minnehaha 13.
Minnehaha could score layups in transition. Waconia could keep up with Minnehaha in transition.
At halftime, the score was Minnehaha 29, Waconia 27.
As the second half got underway the score kept on going back and forth.
Suggs kept attacking the basket and made mid-range jump shots and layups.
Minnehaha did a good job of getting rebounds and got the ball down the floor.
Minnehaha called a timeout with 8:46 left in regulation. The score was Minnehaha 49, Waconia 40.
Waconia struggled shooting the ball in the second half. Minnehaha took advantage of that as they attacked the basket and came up with shots.
Minnehaha continued to come up with stops on the defensive end.
Minnehaha came away with the 71-57 victory over Waconia.
The leading scorers for Waconia were Nick Fullford with 16 points and Dillion Whittaker with 13 points.
The leading scorer for Minnehaha was Suggs with 34 points.

HOPKINS WENT UP AGAINST MINNEAPOLIS HENRY IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Hopkins and Minneapolis Patrick Henry squared off in a boys’ basketball game. Both teams looked to push the ball down the floor and score layups in transition.
Henry’s Savion Scott came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. He did a good job of getting the ball in spots where he could shoot it. If Scott didn’t think that he had an open shot, he would pass it to one of his teammates.
Hopkins came out shooting cold. They were not able to hit shots early.
Both teams dove on the floor after loose balls.
Henry called a timeout with 10:36 left in the first half. The score was Henry 12, Hopkins 8.
Henry pushed the ball down the floor and scored layups in transition. They got past the Hopkins trapping defense.
After a slow start by Hopkins they found their shooting rhythm with just under 9:00 to play. Their shot started to drop.
Henry’s offense went cold for a period in the first half. They struggled to make shots.
Henry called a timeout with 2:45 left in the first half. The score was Hopkins 33, Henry 21.
Henry kept attacking the basket and came up with layups.
At halftime, the score was Hopkins 39, Henry 26.
As the second half got underway Hopkins continued to attack the basket and got the ball into the hands of Blaise Beauchamp. Beauchamp came up with mid-range jump shots and layups throughout the game. Teammates Ishmael El-Amin and Simon Wright each came up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
Henry struggled to shoot the ball in the second half.
Henry called a timeout with 12:43 left in regulation. The score was Hopkins 55, Henry 35.
Even though Henry struggled shooting the ball they kept shooting the ball.
Henry got the ball into the hands of Lamar Wood. Wood came up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
The Hopkins offense came alive with 9:00 left in the first half. That was the changing point in the game. After Hopkins went on their initial run Henry couldn’t catch up.
Hopkins came away with the 83-53 victory over Henry.

HOLY FAMILY WENT UP AGAINST CLOQUET IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Holy Family and Cloquet squared off in a boys’ basketball game. Cloquet started the game in a zone defense. Holy Family swung the ball around the 3-point line as they got everyone involved in the offense. 

Cloquet used a zone defense that made Holy Family take deep 3-point shots. 

Holy Family called a timeout with 6:57 left in the first half. The score was Holy Family 35, Cloquet 25. 

Holy Family’s Lincoln Cizek did a good job of attacking the basket and coming up with mid-range jump shots and layups. 

At halftime, the score was, Holy Family 49, Cloquet 34. 

As the second half got under way Holy Family continued get the ball into the hands of Lincoln Cizek. Cizek did a good job of making his mid-range jump shots and layups and his teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.

Cloquet struggled making shots in the second half. They were not able to hit shots that they put up.

Holy Family’s Nick Hendler came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.

Holy Family came away with the 88-76 victory over Cloquet. 

The leading scorers for Cloquet were Logan Gallup with 20 points, and Tyler Moose with 15 points. 

The leading scorers for Holy Family were Nathan Handler with 24 points, Lincoln Cizek with 21 points and Griffin Johnson with 18 points. 

 

BLAKE WENT UP AGAINST CRISTO REY IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

On Jan. 16, Blake went up against Cristo Rey in a boys’ basketball game. The game was played at Patrick Henry High School.
The score went back and forth early. Cristo Rey looked to get the ball into the hands of Jericho Sims, Sims got to the basket and made mid-range jump shots and layups.
Blake’s Tenzin Choezin came up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
Blake called a timeout with 8:09 left in the first half. The score was Blake 16, Cristo Rey 11.
There were multiple ties and lead changes throughout the first half. Neither team went on a huge run.
Both teams took a lot of time off the clock in the first half by swinging the ball around the 3-point line.
At halftime, the score was Blake 35, Cristo Rey 27.
As the second half got underway Blake continued to push the ball down the floor and came up with layups in transition.
Sims came up with slam dunks and layups in the second half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
Neither team went on a run in the second half.  
Blake’s Jack Moe came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the second half. He was very active around the basket.
Sims kept on coming up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
Blake called a timeout with 8:40 left in regulation, the score was Cristo Rey 53, Blake 48.
Choezin continued to come up with mid-range jump shots and layups. Blake also did a good job of getting everyone involved in the offense.
Blake called a timeout with 3:58 left in regulation, the score was Cristo Rey 68, Blake 58.
Cristo Rey continued to come up with shots late in the game. They did a good job of feeding Sims on the low block.
Cristo Rey came away with the 75-63 victory over Blake.
The leading scorer for Cristo Rey was Sims with 40 points.
The leading scorer for Blake was Moe with 25 points.

MAPLE GROVE WENT UP AGAINST HOPKINS IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Maple Grove took on Hopkins in a boys’ basketball game. Maple Grove got out to a quick start. It took a while for each of these teams to figure the other team out. 

Hopkins took their time on the offensive end. They got everyone involved in the offense. 

Maple Grove’s Brad Davison and Tywhon Pickford. They both came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. They both knew where their teammates were on the floor. 

Hopkins was all over the board. They could come down with rebounds. 

Davison took the ball hard to the basket and came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. The defense had a difficult time slowing Davison down. 

The pace was quick as neither team took a lot of time off the clock. 

Maple Grove did a good job getting the ball into the hands of Pickford. Pickford did a good job of getting to the basket make layups. 

There were multiple ties and lead changes throughout first half. 

Maple Grove called a timeout with 3:29 left in the first half. The score was Hopkins 38, Maple Grove 37.

The score continued to go back and forth late in the half. 

At halftime, the score was Maple Grove 45, Hopkins 43. 

As the second half got underway both teams continued to score quick baskets in transition. 

Davison continued to get to the basket and came up with shots. On the defensive end, Davison could slow down the guy he was guarding. 

The score went back and forth midway through the half. 

Hopkins guard Blaise Beauchamp came up with deep 3-point shots in the second half. 

Hopkins called a timeout with 7:46 left in regulation. The score was Maple Grove 67, Hopkins 63. 

Maple Grove kept on coming up with baskets in the second half They got the ball into Davison’s hands. 

Maple Grove called a timeout with 3:14 left in regulation. The score was Maple Grove 72, Hopkins 65.


Hopkins couldn’t slow Davison down as he came up with huge baskets throughout the game. 

Maple Grove came away with the 81-70 victory over Hopkins.

Maple Grove was lead in scoring by Davison with 41points, Pickford with 22 points. 

Hopkins was lead in scoring by Blaise Beauchamp with 18 points, Joesph Headstrong with 16 points and Ishmael El-Amin with 14 points.


CHANHASSEN AND HOPKINS SQUARED OFF IN A GIRLS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Chanhassen and Hopkins squared off in a girls’ basketball game. Hopkins got their offense going early as they could get out to a 19-4 lead with 12 minutes left in the first half.
Chanhassen called a timeout with 11:46 left in the first half. The score was Hopkins 21, Chanhassen 4.
Hopkins ran a lot of pick and rolls and came up with layups. Hopkins could get everyone involved in the offense. They took time off the clock by swinging the ball around the 3-point line.
Hopkins was quicker than Hopkins throughout the first half. Chanhassen struggled to shoot the ball throughout the first half.  
At halftime, the score was Hopkins 55, Chanhassen 25.
As the second half got underway Hopkins continued to push the ball down the floor and score layups in transition.
Chanhassen struggled to shoot the ball throughout the second half as well. Hopkins used a half court man-to-man defense. They kept attacking as well.
Hopkins came away with the 80-47 victory over Chanhassen.

MINNETONKA WENT UP AGAINST BUFFALO IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Minnetonka and Buffalo squared off in a boys’ basketball game. Minnetonka pushed the ball down the floor as they made layups in transition. 

Buffalo passed the ball around the 3-point line as they took time off the clock. Buffalo got everyone involved in the offense. 

Buffalo made baskets in transition. They were quick to get down the floor. Minnetonka had trouble keeping up with them in transition. 

At halftime, the score was Buffalo 32, Minnetonka 26. 

As the second half got underway Buffalo kept attacking the basket and coming up with layups. They got the ball into the hands of Andrew Johnson. 

Minnetonka got the ball into the hands of Burt Hedstrom and Jalen Dearring who both came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. 

Minnetonka got the lead late in the second half. Buffalo fought hard throughout the game. 

Minnetonka came away with the 57-46 over Buffalo. 

The leading scorers for Minnetonka were Jalen Dearring with 11 points, Matt Hass with 10 points and Jon Martens with 9 points.

BROOKLYN CENTER WENT UP AGAINST GRAND RAPIDS IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Brooklyn Center and Grand Rapids squared off in a boys’ basketball game. The score went back and forth early.

Brooklyn Center pushed the ball down the floor as they looked to score baskets in transition.
Neither team gave up open shots.
At halftime, the score was Brooklyn Center 30, Grand Rapids 20.
As the second half got underway Brooklyn Center went to a full court press. They wanted to make Grand Rapids turn the ball over.
Brooklyn Center did a good job of talking on the floor to each other. They knew where everyone was on the floor.
Grand Rapids looked to get the ball into the hands of Jake Skelly. Skelly came up with mid-range jump shots and layups throughout the second half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
There were multiple ties and lead changes throughout the second half. Neither team gave up easy shots.
Grand Rapids Brock Schrom came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the second half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he made shots.
There were multiple ties and lead changes late in the game.
Grand Rapids came away with the 69-64 victory over Brooklyn Center.
The leading scorer for Grand Rapids was Skelly with 28 points.
The leading scorers for Brooklyn Center were Lu’Cye Patterson and Rudwan Tahir each with 13 points.

COLUMBIA HEIGHTS WENT UP AGAINST WACONIA IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Columbia Heights and Waconia squared off in a boys’ basketball game. Waconia moved the ball down the floor well as they got layups in transition.

Columbia Heights called a timeout with 12:43 left in the first half. The score was Waconia 9, Columbia Heights 2.
Columbia Heights looked to push the ball down the floor and make baskets in transition. They wanted to use their quickness to get to the basket.
Waconia passed the ball around the 3-point line and used a lot of time off the clock.
Neither team went on a run in the first half.
At halftime, the score was Waconia 34, Columbia Heights 32.  
The score went back and forth early in the second half. Neither team went on a run.
Columbia Heights got the ball into the hands of Quentin Hardrict. Hardrict came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the second half.
Waconia struggled to shoot the ball in the second half. They couldn’t make shots that they put up.
The pressure that Columbia Heights applied made it difficult for Waconia to make shots in the second half.

The score was tied at 70 after regulation.
As the overtime period got underway both teams continued to attack the basket.
The score went back and forth throughout the overtime period.
Columbia Heights came away with the 76-75 victory over Waconia.
The leading scorer for Columbia Heights was Matthews with 22 points.
The leading scorer for Waconia was Nick Fulford with 24 points.

NORWOOD-YOUNG AMERICA WENT UP AGAINST BLOOMINGTON KENNEDY IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

On Jan. 14, Norwood-Young America and Bloomington Kennedy went up against each other in a boys’ basketball game at Hopkins High School. The game was part of the Super 60 Showcase.
Kennedy pushed the ball down the floor and looked to score baskets in transition. Norwood-Young America also pushed the ball down the floor.
Both teams started in a zone defense.
Kennedy called a timeout with 12:44 left in the first half. The score was Kennedy 11, Norwood-Young America 6.
Kennedy came up with steals on the defensive end and could convert on the offensive end. They could make mid-range jump shots and layups.
Norwood-Young America called a timeout with 9:40 left in the first half. The score was Kennedy 17, Norwood-Young America 8.
Norwood-Young America had a difficult time scoring for a period in the first half. Even they had a tough time scoring they kept on attacking the basket.
Norwood-Young America called a timeout with 5:15 left in the first half. The score was Kennedy 26, Norwood-Young America 14.
Both teams went into a scoring slump in the first half. The defensive pressure made it difficult for both teams to make shots.
Kennedy called a timeout with 3:45 left in the first half. The score was Kennedy 28, Norwood-Young America 16.
Kennedy looked to take time off the clock late in the first half. They passed the ball around the 3-point line as players cut through the lane.
At halftime, the score was Kennedy 34, Norwood-Young America 24.  
Kennedy could get the ball into the hands of Isaiah Stone. Stone did a good job of getting to the basket and coming up with layups. He wasn’t afraid to take layups and mid-range jump shots.
Norwood-Young America kept on attacking the basket throughout the second half. They looked to keep getting the ball into the hands of Logan Corlett. Corlett came up with mid-range jump shots.
Norwood-Young America called a timeout with 10:18 left in regulation. The score was Kennedy 43, Norwood-Young America 33.
Kennedy used their quickness to get past the Norwood-Young America defense.
Norwood-Young America kept attacking the basket and could string together layups and stay in the game.
Kennedy came away with the 61-58 victory over Norwood Young America.
The leading scorer for Norwood-Young America was Kellen Erpenbach with 13 points.
The leading scorer for Kennedy was Stone with 13 points.

RICHFIELD WENT UP AGAINST MINNEAPOLIS WASHBURN IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

On Jan. 13 Richfield and Minneapolis Washburn squared off in a nonconference boys’ basketball game. Washburn came into the game with an overall record of 6-5. Richfield came into the game with an overall record of 4-6.
Both teams looked to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.
Richfield started the game in a zone defense. They wanted to force Washburn to take deep 3-point shots.
Washburn did a good job of getting to the basket and coming up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
There were several ties and lead changes in the early goings. Both teams could score points.
Neither team gave up an uncontested shot.
Richfield looked to come up with steals on the defensive end and they looked to convert the steals to baskets on the offensive end.
Richfield called a timeout with 11:11 left in the first half. The score was Richfield 18, Washburn 14.
Washburn looked to get everyone involved in the offense by passing the ball around the three-point line. They also did a good job of communicating on both ends of the floor. Richfield also called out screens as well.
Washburn went to a full court press as they tried to create turnovers off their pressure.

Both teams were not afraid to shoot the ball and could score baskets in transition.

Richfield came up with layups late in the first half. They were also able to make fast break layups as well.
At halftime, the score was Washburn 33, Richfield 30.
As the second half got underway both teams got after it. They came out with fire as they kept on attacking the basket.
Richfield stayed in a full court man-to-man defense. Washburn also played man-to-man defense.
Both teams also threw the ball down the floor as they looked to make full court or three-quarter court passes.
Washburn called a timeout with 12:11 left in regulation. The score was Washburn 47, Richfield 43.
Terrell Adams stepped up big and knocked down some key 3-point shots in the second half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
Richfield kept attacking the basket in the second half. They didn’t let the Washburn defense bother them.
Washburn’s Damon Neubert came up with layups late in regulation. The defense had a hard time slowing him down.
Washburn called a timeout with 3:30 left in regulation. The score was Washburn 72, Richfield 67.
Neither team gave up an open shot late in the game. The game came down to the wire.
Richfield took the lead with just under 2:00 to go. Washburn kept shooting the ball.
Washburn called a timeout with 34.1 left in regulation. The score was Richfield 75, Washburn 74.
Washburn’s Terrell Adams came up with a shot with 2.7 seconds left for the lead. He was fouled and he made his free throws.
Washburn came away with the 77-75 victory over Richfield.

The leading scorers for Richfield were Emmauel Blackshear with 17 points, and Antonio Maddox and Devin Wade-Henderson each with 15 points.

MINNEAPOLIS SOUTHWEST WENT UP AGAINST MINNEAPOLIS NORTH IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

On Jan. 12, Minneapolis Southwest and Minneapolis North squared off in a boys’ basketball game.
The game started off slow as it took a while for each team to get into an offensive rhythm.
North got their offense going early in the half.
Southwest called a timeout with 7:30 left in the first half. The score was North 7, Southwest 5.
North continued to push the ball down the floor and look for layups in transition.
Southwest called a timeout with 8:11 left in the first half. The score was North 17, Southwest 7.
Both teams looked to score layups in transition. They also kept attacking the basket late in the game.
At halftime, the score was North 30, Southwest 22.              
As the second half got underway Southwest looked to keep attacking the basket and came up with layups.         
Southwest called a timeout with 12:59 left in regulation, the score was North 39, Southwest 26.
Southwest could come up with mid-range jump shots and layups late in the second half. Southwest’s Aiden Berg came up with some big shots that kept Southwest in the game.
North called a timeout with 6:38 left in regulation, the score was North 47, Southwest 43.             
Both teams kept on attacking the basket late in the game.
North’s Isaac Johnson was all over the floor on the offensive end he could come up with mid-range jump shots and layups consistently.
In a hard-fought game that took a while to get going offensively for both teams, North came away with the 65-53 victory over Southwest.
The leading scorer for Southwest was Brennan Hawkins with 15 points and CK Deeq with 14 points.

ST. OLAF WENT UP AGAINST ST. THOMAS IN A MEN’S BASKETBALL GAME

On Jan. 11, it was a battle of the Saint’s as, St. Olaf and St. Thomas squared off in a men’s basketball game. St. Olaf looked to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.            
St. Olaf pushed the ball down the floor as they looked to score layups in transition. They could get everyone involved in the offense.
St. Olaf got the ball into the hands of Robert Tobroxen. Tobroxen took the ball hard to the basket as he looked to make mid-range jump shots and layups.
St. Thomas called a timeout with 13:48 left in the first half. The score was tied at 8.
Neither team went on a run early in the first half. There were many ties and lead changes throughout the first half.
St. Olaf called a timeout with 8:23 left in the first half. The score was St. Thomas 18, St. Olaf 15.
St. Thomas stepped up and knocked down shots.

St. Thomas’s Elijah Hannah came up with mid-range jump-shots and layups in the first half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could make it.

St. Thomas’s Nate Albers and Frank Delaney both could come up with mid-range jump shots and layups. Delaney was also able to come off screens and get to the basket.

As time wound off the clock both teams continued to push the ball down the floor and come up mid-range jump shots and layups. The defensive pressure also stepped up late in the game.
St. Olaf came away with the 64-56 victory over St. Thomas.

The leading scorers for St. Olaf were Albers with 17 points and Delaney with 16 points.
