Chanhassen and Hopkins squared off in a girls’ basketball game. Hopkins got their offense going early as they could get out to a 19-4 lead with 12 minutes left in the first half.
Chanhassen called a timeout with 11:46 left in the first half. The score was Hopkins 21, Chanhassen 4.
Hopkins ran a lot of pick and rolls and came up with layups. Hopkins could get everyone involved in the offense. They took time off the clock by swinging the ball around the 3-point line.
Hopkins was quicker than Hopkins throughout the first half. Chanhassen struggled to shoot the ball throughout the first half.
At halftime, the score was Hopkins 55, Chanhassen 25.
As the second half got underway Hopkins continued to push the ball down the floor and score layups in transition.
Chanhassen struggled to shoot the ball throughout the second half as well. Hopkins used a half court man-to-man defense. They kept attacking as well.
Hopkins came away with the 80-47 victory over Chanhassen.
