On Dec. 21, Minneapolis North squared off against Minneapolis Fair in a boys’ basketball game.
North looked to pressure Fair as they brought the ball down the floor. North went to a zone defense once Fair got past half court.
Fair looked to pressure North as they brought the ball down the floor. Both teams looked to score layups in transition.
Fair’s Raishon Brown could get his teammates involved in the offence. He was also able to come up and make 3-point baskets. Teammate Otis Turner also came up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
Fair called a timeout with 14:10 left in the first half. The score was North 7, Fair 3.
North could push the ball down the floor and score layups and jump shots in transition.
Both teams went into a scoring slump midway through the first half. They both had trouble scoring.
North’s O’Dell Wilson IV came up with fast break layups in transition.
North called a timeout with 10:03 left in the first half. The score was North 19, Fair 7.
Fair continued to look for ways to score. The attempted layups and mid-range jump shots and three-point shots. Fair struggled to find their shots for a period in the first half.
Fair’s Makai Patterson could step up and knock down 3-point baskets. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
North could come up with steals and could score off the steals.
North’s Da'Kei Hines and Da'Koi Hines both came up with rebounds. They were able

North continued to push the ball down the floor late in the half.
At halftime, the score was North 54, Fair 22.
As the second half got underway North continued to push the ball down floor and score layups in transition.
North called a timeout with 15:58 left in regulation. The score was North 58, Fair 22.
Wilson IV came up with layups. He could get to the basket and power his way to the rim.
Fair came up with layups and jump shots in the second half.
Fair called a timeout with 11:09 left in regulation. The score was North 80, Fair 36.
North was too much for Fair to handle. Fair kept attacking the basket late in the game.
North called a timeout with 6:21 left in regulation. The score was North 93, Fair 40.
Both teams gave it all they got and neither team gave up.
North came away with the 105-43 victory over Fair.
The leading scorers for Fair were Brown and Turner each with 15 points.
The leading scorers for North were Wilson IV with 18 points, Sanders-Smith with 14 points, and Jamire Jackson with 13 points.
