BENILDE-ST. MARGARET’S TOOK ON WACONIA IN THE MINNETONKA BOYS’ BASKETBALL FALL LEAGUE
Benilde-St. Margaret’s took on Waconia in the Minnetonka boys’ basketball fall league. Benilde-St. Margaret's opened the game on fire. They were able to knock down shots from the beginning of the game. Waconia couldn’t find their shot.
Benilde-St. Margaret's looked to get the ball into Kyle Washington’s hands. Kyle was posted up on the low block. When he got the ball the ball he was able to make a nice jump shot. Kyle took the ball strong to the basket.
The game was close throughout the first half. Neither team was able to go on a run in the first half. The score went back and forth for a period of time.
Waconia went on a run late in the first half. They were able to blow right by the Benilde-St. Margaret’s defense.
Isaiah Zierden was able to step up and make shots in the first half for Benilde-St. Margaret’s. His teammates were able to get him the ball and Isaiah was able to make the shots.
At halftime the score was Benilde-St. Margaret’s 41 and Waconia 30.
As the second half got underway Benilde-St. Margaret’s continued to make their shots that they were taking.
Waconia went on a run in the second half. They looked to cut into their deficit. They were able to cut into it a little bit, but were unsuccessful.
In a game that featured a comeback by Waconia, Benilde-St. Margaret’s was able to come away with the 83-68 victory over Waconia.

BENILDE-ST. MARGARET’S TOOK ON ORONO IN THE MINNETONKA BOYS’ BASKETBALL FALL LEAGUE
Benilde-St. Margaret's took on Orono in the Minnetonka boys’ basketball fall league. Orono was able to jump out and take a quick 15-4 lead with 12:45 left in the first half.
Benilde-St. Margaret's had a hard time making shots. The Orono defense was too much to handle early in the game.
Benilde-St. Margaret's started the game playing zone defense.
Orono was able to hit their shots in the first half. They were a little quicker than Benilde-St. Margaret's in the first half.
The game was tied at 22 with 2:00 left to go in the first half.
Both teams were aggressive in the first half. Orono came out strong and then Benilde-St. Margaret's was able to go on a run late in the half.
At halftime the score was Benilde-St. Margaret's 27 and Orono 22.
As the second half got underway both teams came out playing aggressively. Sanjay Lumpkin stepped up and made shots in the clutch. He also knew where his teammates were on the court. When he was trapped he was able to pass the ball off to his teammates and was able to get the assist.
Kyle Washington played well on the low block. He was able to go up with a pump fake.
Benilde-St. Margaret's continued to push the ball up the court. They were able to wear down Orono.
Benilde-St. Margaret’s went on a run late in the game. They were able to come away with the 53-42 victory over Orono.

BENILDE-ST MARGARET’S TOOK ON MINNESOTA TRANSITIONS
Benilde-St. Margaret's took on Minnesota Transitions in the Bloomington Jefferson Fall League. Minnesota Transitions came in to the game on fire. They were able to go on a run to begin the game.
Minnesota Transitions started the game in a zone defense. They were able to shut down Benilde-St. Margaret's.
Benilde-St. Margaret's was able to string some baskets together early on in the game. Minnesota Transitions was right on with their shots. Everything that they were putting up was going into the basket.
Benilde-St. Margaret's didn’t give up though. Even though they were not able to make shots in the beginning of the game they didn’t give up. They were able to get back into the game and they were able to catch up and were within one point 22-23 with 7:45 left in the first half.
Kyle Washington for Benilde-St. Margaret's was right on with his shot. His teammates were able to get him the ball where he was successful on the court.
At halftime the score was Minnesota Transitions 32 and Benilde-St. Margaret's 41.
As the second half got underway both teams came out and were really aggressive. Both teams did their best to push the ball in transition.
Benilde-St. Margaret's didn’t back down. They really put pressure on Minnesota Transitions. Minnesota Transitions didn’t fold under the pressure that they were under.
Throughout the second half Benilde-St. Margaret's was able to chip away at the lead. They wanted to go on a run in the middle of the half. Minnesota Transitions wanted to slow them down and force them to make bad decisions.
Benilde-St. Margaret's played a zone defense in the second half. Both teams were able to get the ball out of the basket and run down the court and get into their offense.
Both teams were able to keep the score close throughout the second half. Benilde-St. Margaret's went on a run midway through the half.
Both teams were tired near the end of the game. Rodney Owens and Kyle Washington put on a battle. They both guarded each other really tough though out the game.
The game came down to the wire. Benilde-St. Margaret's was able to come away with the 83-71 victory over Minnesota Transitions.
