Roseville went up against Minnetonka in
the Minnetonka Fall League. Minnetonka got off to a good start as
they were able to get up 7-3 with 15:30 left in the first half.
Both teams looked to get the ball down
the court and score easy baskets in transition. Mike Fernando was
all over the floor for Minnetonka. He knew where his teammates were
on the floor and was able to get them the ball where they could get
to the basket.
The score went back and forth
throughout the first half as neither team was able to go on a run.
Grant Steal came up with some nice
moves and was able to get a few nice baskets.
At halftime the score was Minnetonka 20
and Roseville 17.
Minnetonka continued to push the ball
down the floor and looked to get the ball into transition. The game
was close throughout the second half. Neither team was able to go on
a run in the beginning of the second half.
Roseville battled back as they caught
up to Minnetonka and were able to get to within a point of them with
7:00 minutes left in the second half.
Both teams dove on the floor for loose
balls and went after rebounds. Neither team gave up easy shots on
either end of the floor.
Grant Kellog was all over the floor. He
knew where his teammates were on the floor and he was able to feed
them them the ball when they had good shots.
Roseville was able to get the lead late
and they came away with the 52-50 victory over Minnetonka.
