MINNESOTA SOUTHSIDE TOOK ON MINNESOTA MAGIC IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL CONTEST

In the 17U division at the Minnesota Pump N Run tournament Minnesota Southside took on Minnesota
Magic. Southside started out the game in a man-to-man defense. They looked to put as much pressure
on the Magic as they could.
 
On the offensive end Southside looked to push the ball down the court as quickly as they could. They
used a motion offense. They passed the ball around the three-point line as they wanted to take as much
time off the clock as they could.
 
Southside had an easy time hitting shots. Most of their first half shots went in. Magic didn't get
frustrated as their shots were not falling. They kept putting them up.
 
At halftime the score was Minnesota Southside 35 and Minnesota Magic 22.
 
Southside stayed in zone defense to start the second half. Magic made a little run. They were able to
score on some nice fast break opportunities.
 
Latrell Diquan Love for Southside made some nice easy lay-ups. He was able to drive to the lane and
take the ball strong to basket going untouched.
 
Southside held the ball and passed the ball around the three-point line for a period of time. They did
that to take as much time off the clock as they could.
 
Southside came away with the 68-45 victory over Minnesota Magic.
