Ottawa and Minnesota soccer teams went up against each other at TCF Bank Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesota on August 2, 2014 .
Both teams moved the ball down the field well early in the first half. Minnesota’s Chad Bush scored in the fourth minute.
That made the score Minnesota 1, Ottawa 0.
Minnesota did a good job of moving the ball down the field. They communicated on the field well and let everyone know where they were on the field.
Both teams went after the ball throughout the first half.
At halftime the score was Minnesota 1, Ottawa 0.
As the second half got underway both teams continued to looked to kick the ball into the goal.
Minnesota was able to get ahead of the defenders
Ottawa scored on a goal by in the 50th minute by Sinisa Ubiparipovic. That tied the score at 1.
Minnesota’s Christian Ramirez scored on a penalty kick in the 60th minute to give Minnesota a 2-1 lead.
The rain started midway through the second half. The game went on but it made for slippery field conditions.
Minnesota came away with the 2-1 victory over Ottawa.
