LAKEVILLE NORTH WENT UP AGAINST OSSEO IN THE CLASS 4A STATE SEMIFINAL IN BOYS’ BASKETBALL

On March 10, Lakeville North and Osseo squared off in the Class 4A Semifinals in a boys’ basketball game. The game was played at the Target Center. 

Osseo started the game in a full court press. They looked to move the ball down the floor well and score baskets in transition.

The score went back and forth early in the game. Neither team was able to go on a run early. 

Osseo’s Demario Armstrong was all over the floor. On the offensive end he was able to come up with mid-range jump shots and layups. 

There was a media timeout with 14:49 left in the first half. The score was Lakeville North 9, Osseo 6.

Osseo did a good job of getting everyone involved in the offense. They passed the ball around to each other and did a good job of communicating with each other. 

Osseo’s Allan Anderson came up with deep 3-point shots that kept his team in the game. 

Lakeville North’s Nathan Reuvers came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the first half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.

Osseo called a timeout with 9:39 left in the first half. The score was Lakeville North 20, Osseo 12.

Both teams went into a scoring slump with just under 9 minutes in the second half. Neither team was able to score.

Osseo’s John Bezdicek came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. 

There was a media timeout with 6:40 left in the first half. The score was Lakeville North 24, Osseo 20.

After a slow start Osseo was able to step up and knock down shots. 

There was a media timeout with 3:47 left in the first half. The score was Lakeville North 26, Osseo 22.

Osseo continued to push the ball down the floor and move the ball well on the offensive end.

At halftime the score was Lakeville North 32, Osseo 28.

As the second half got underway Osseo continued to look to push the ball down the floor and come up with mid-range jump shots and layups. 

Lakeville North pushed the ball down the floor and was able to make their shots in traffic. 

Both teams dove on the floor after loose balls and went after rebounds aggressively in the second half. 

There was a media timeout with 15:00 left in regulation. The score was Lakeville North 36, Osseo 31. 

Osseo kept attacking the basket as they were able to come up with layups and mid-range jump shots.

There was a media timeout with 10:15 left in the first half. The score was Lakeville North 42, Osseo 39.

Lakeville North continued to move the ball well down the floor and came up with huge baskets. 

Lakeville North called a timeout with 8:11 left in regulation. The score was Lakeville North 47, Osseo 43.

There were many ties and lead changes throughout the second half. 

There was a media timeout with 6:36 left in regulation. The score was Lakeville North 50, Osseo 48.

The score remained close throughout the second half. Osseo continued to attack the basket and come up with plays.

Lakeville North came away with the 60-56 victory over Osseo.
