MINNEAPOLIS DELASALLE WENT UP AGAINST HOPKINS IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Minneapolis DeLaSalle and Hopkins squared off against each other in a boys’ basketball game in front of a large crowd at Hopkins High School. The game was part of the Breakdown Sports USA Tip Off Classic.

Hopkins came out looking to push the ball down the floor. They were able to make midrange jump shots and layups.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half. Neither team went on a huge run.

Hopkins called a timeout with 11:54 left in the first half. The score was DeLaSalle 19, Hopkins 13.

DeLaSalle’s Julian Wright came up with deep three-point shots. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.

At halftime, the score was DeLaSalle 45, Hopkins 39.

As the second half got underway DeLaSalle continued to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.

Hopkins kept attacking the basket and looking for layups.

There were multiple ties and lead changes throughout the second half. Neither team went on a noticeable run.

Hopkins got the lead late in the game.

Hopkins came away with the 84-79 victory over DeLaSalle

The leading scorers for DeLaSalle were Jamison Battle with 24 points, Tryell Terry with 20 points and Gabe Kalscheur with 17 points.


The leading scorers for Hopkins were Blaise Beauchamp and Kerwin Walton with 19 points, Zeke Nnaji with 17 points.
