CHICAGO DEMONS TOOK ON THE HOWARD PULLEY BLACK TEAM IN THE 16U DIVISION IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME


The Chicago Demons took on the Howard Pulley Black team in the 16U division of the Howard Pulley Sables Foundation tournament.

The game got off to a slow start as neither team was able to hit shots.

Chicago Demons went on a run midway through the first half. There was noting that the Howard Pulley Black team could do.

Howard Pulley Black didn't back down through they kept on fighting and going after loose balls. Howard Pulley's Harry Sonie was all over the court. He knew where his teammates were on the floor at all times. 

 Pulley had a hard time making shots for a period of time. Even though they were not making shots they didn't get frustrated.

Pulley went on a run late in the first half. At halftime the score was Chicago Demons 23 and Howard Pulley 18.

Pulley came out of the halftime break on fire they were able to get within three points of Chicago Demons at 20-23 with 14:18 left in regulation.

Pulley switched between man-to-man defense and zone defense. They looked to take Chicago Demons out of their game.

Chicago Demons used mostly man-to-man defense. They were able to slow the Pulley team down.

Pulley went on a run midway through the second half.  That didn't discourage the Chicago Demons as they kept on attacking the basket.

At the end of regulation the score was tied at 50.

In the overtime period both teams continued to grind it out. Both teams went after loose balls and went after rebounds.  The score also went back and forth till the very end.

In the end Howard Pulley came way with the 54-53 victory.
