ROCHESTER CENTURY TOOK ON EDEN PRAIRIE IN THE 2011 MINNESOTA STATE HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE STATE QUARTERFINAL GAME IN THE BASEBALL TOURNAMENT

Rochester Century took on Eden Prairie in the second class AAA quarterfinal baseball game at Midway
Stadium. Century came into the game with a record of 20-6 and Eden Prairie came into the game with a
record of 21-5.

TOP OF THE FIRST INNING

Rochester Century led off the first inning. Mitchel Gave bounced to the shortstop, who threw him out
at first base.

Josh Denisen bounced to the third baseman who threw him out at first base.

John Meyer reached first base on an error by the second baseman.

Mitchell Brown flew out to the right fielder.

BOTTOM OF THE FIRST INNING

Tyler Ruemmele led off the bottom of the first inning for Eden Prairie. Tyler Ruemmele stuck out on a
called third strike.

Tony Skjefte flew out to the right fielder.

Lance Thonvold hit a single to center field.

Adam Bray struck out.

TOP OF THE SECOND INNING

Danny Blasy reached on a walk.

BOTTOM OF THE SECOND INNING

For Eden Prairie Even Reid reached first base and then he stole second base. He was able to get to third
base on a wild pitch.

TOP OF FOURTH INNING

Josh Denisen reached first base on a hard hit ball to the right fielder.

Denisen reached second base on a wild pitch.

John Meyer reached first base on a single moving Josh Dension to third base.

Mitchell Brown hit a single to left field scoring Josh Dension

Tyler Wright was thrown out at first but advanced the runners.

Nick Merges was thrown out at first base but a run scored on the play.

TOP OF THE FIFTH INNING

Calvin Bjerke reached on a base hit out to left field. Then he reached second on a passed ball. He
reached third base on a wild pitch.

TOP OF THE SEVENTH INNING

Calvin Bjerke drilled a shot over the right field fence for a solo home run for Rochester Century.

BOTTOM OF THE SEVENTH INNING

Rochester Century was able to get the bats on the ball and come away with the 3-0 victory over Eden
Prairie. Calvin Bjeke knocked a ball out of the ballpark over the right field fence for the first home run
of the tournament.
