It was homecoming on the campus of Concordia University St. Paul. They took on Minnesota State University. Minnesota State came into the game with a record of 2-1 and Concordia St. Paul came into the game with a record of 2-1 as well.
Concordia kicked off to Minnesota State to start the football game. Minnesota State started with the ball on their own 45 yard line. Adam Thielen received a nice pass from John Daniels that set up a nice touchdown run by Dennis Carter. The extra point attempt was good.
With 13:31 left in the first quarter the score was Minnesota State 7 and Concordia St. Paul 0.
Minnesota State kicked off to Concordia St. Paul after the touchdown. Sam Campbell made some nice runs for Concordia. He was able to get past the Minnesota State defenders.
Minnesota State did a good job of holding the Concordia offense and that made them have to punt the ball back to Minnesota. State.
Minnesota State got the ball back on their own 43 yard line after the punt. Minnesota State's LaMark Brown was able to break some tackles and get some first downs for his team. Minnesota State looked to score midway through the first quarter. Minnesota State's Danny Pedilla kicked a 27 yard field goal with 7:28 left in the first quarter.

Minnesota State kicked off after the field goal. Concordia got the ball deep in their territory. Concordia got an infraction for being too close to the sideline that made it second down and 15 yards to go. On forth down they punted the ball back to Minnesota State.
Concordia was not able to convert on third down so they punted the ball to Minnesota State. Minnesota State kicked a 30 yard field goal with 2:40 left to go in the first quarter.

Concordia had trouble getting things going on the offensive end and they went three and out as they punted the ball to Minnesota State.

Concordia got the ball back after the touchdown. Concordia was able to pick up a first down. Minnesota State tried to slow down the running game of Concordia St. Paul. They were able to do that. They were able to come up with some big plays and stop the Concordia offense a few different times.
Minnesota got the ball back after the turnover on downs. Minnesota State was not able to get a first down and they punted the ball back to Concordia one of the Concordia players fumbled the ball and Minnesota State came up with the ball on the two yard line. Jon Wolf scored a touchdown on a two yard run for Minnesota State University. The extra point attempt was good.

Minnesota State kicked off to Concordia after the touchdown. Concordia looked to march down the field they wanted to get a touchdown before the halftime break. They turned the ball over on downs.

Concordia came out on fire to start the third quarter. I thought that they were much more aggressive on both sides of the ball. Concordia went to a hurry up offense. They didn't look to waste any time.

Minnesota State was able to move the ball down the field fairly well throughout the third quarter. LaMark Brown found the end zone for a Minnesota State touchdown with 2:47 left in the third quarter. The extra point attempt was not good.

Minnesota State kicked off to Concordia St. Paul after the touchdown. Concordia St. Paul did a nice job of picking up first downs in the third quarter. Even though they were not able to get a touchdown in the quarter. I though that they did move the ball well in the quarter.

Concordia got the ball to start the fourth quarter. Concordia went for it on fourth down and 12 yards to go and they were able to find Cordell Smith for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good.
With 13:51 left in the fourth quarter the score was Minnesota State 47 and Concordia St. Paul 20.
Concordia kicked off to Minnesota State after the touchdown. Minnesota State Andy Pfeiffer found the end zone for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good.
With 12:55 left in the contest the score was Minnesota State 54 and Concordia St. Paul 20.
Minnesota State kicked off to Concordia after the touchdown. Concordia was picked off and Minnesota State recovered the football.
Minnesota State got the ball on the Concordia 30 yard line after the interception. Minnesota State attempted a 42 yard field goal abut it was not good.
Concordia St. Paul looked to get another first down and they were able to get that on a Cordell Smith reception. Jared Russo put the ball on the air for a good portion of the fourth quarter. He thought that he could move the ball down the field quicker and get more yardage with his receivers going out 10 to 15 yards down the field. They also went for it on fourth down more often in the second half. Tre Mason found the end zone on a two yard run for a Concordia St. Paul touchdown with 7:08 left in the fourth quarter. The extra point attempt was good.
With 7:08 left in regulation the score was Minnesota State 54 and Concordia St. Paul 27.
Concordia St. Paul tied an onside kick attempt after the touchdown. That didn't work and Minnesota State came up with the ball. Minnesota State attempted a field goal with 1:50 left in regulation. That attempt was good. With 1:50 to go the score was Minnesota State 57 and Concordia St. Paul 27.

Minnesota State came away with the 57-34 victory over Concordia St. Paul. Minnesota State came out of the gates hot and they didn't look back. I thought Concordia St. Paul didn't start off the game that well. They were able to step up the offensive production in the second half.
Minnesota State had 45 rushing attempts for 202 yards. Concordia St. Paul had 28 rushing attempts for 145 yards. Minnesota State had a total of 419 total yards of offense and Concordia St. Paul had a total of 463 total yards of offense.
