METRO TECH CAREER ACADEMY WENT UP AGAINST SAINT AGNES IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Metro Tech Career Academy and Saint Agnes squared off in a boys' basketball game. Both teams came out in a zone defense. Saint Agnes picked up at half court.

The game got off to a quick pace as each team raced up and down the floor. They each looked to get into an offensive shooting rhythm.

Metro Tech called a timeout with 16:13 left in the first half. The score was Saint Agnes 2 and Metro Tech 0.

Saint Agnes looked to get everyone involved in the offense. They swung the ball around the three-point line to take time off of the clock and to spread the Metro Tech defense out.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half. Both teams traded baskets throughout the first part of the game.

Both teams looked to move the ball down the floor and score easy baskets in transition. Both teams tuned the ball over in transition and they were both able to take advantage of that by scoring baskets off of turnovers.

Saint Agnes went to a full court press and Metro Tech was able to break the press and get to the basket and get lay-ups.

Neither team gave up easy shots and the defensive pressure was a cooker by both teams. The teams looked prepared for each other ad they were evenly matched in the game.

Metro Tech's point guard Amar Miller and Saint Agnes point guard Dominick Webster battled each other all night they both put on moves that wowed the crowd and they were in control of their teams offense when they were on the floor.

Dominick Jackson was all over the floor for Metro Tech. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball when he was open. Jackson was able to find the basket with ease on some plays.

Saint Agnes called a timeout with 3:54 left in the first half. The score was Metro Tech 26 and Saint Agnes 15.

Saint Agnes applied full court pressure throughout the first half. They were not able to rattle Metro Tech.

At halftime the score was Metro Tech 33 and Saint Agnes 23. The leading scorers at the half for Metro Tech were Dominick Jackson with 15 points Michael Miller with 9 points and Joshua Stephenson with 6 points. The leading scorers for Saint Agnes Nick Turch with 9 and Nick Bennett with 6 points.

Saint Agnes came out in a zone defense to start the second half. Metro Tech came out and looked to trap the ball at every chance that they could get. Metro Tech did that but Saint Agnes was able to get through them and get to the basket.

Saint Agnes caught fire as they were able to rattle off points on lay-ups and jump shots. Metro Tech had difficulty matching the intensity that Saint Agnes came out in the second half with.

Saint Agnes seemed to be a little quicker and they used it to their advantage in the second half.

Saint Agnes called a timeout with 14:39 left in regulation. The score was Metro Tech 33 and Saint Agnes 32.

Nick Bennett did a good job on the glass he was able to get rebounds on both ends of the floor.

Metro Tech called a timeout with 13:23 left in regulation. The score was tied at 36.

The score went back and forth as each of these teams scored baskets back to back of each other.

Both teams did a good job of defending the zone defense.

Saint Agnes called a timeout with 9:15 left in regulation the score was Metro Tech 51 Saint Agnes 42.

Metro Tech looked for quick baskets but took care of the ball on both ends of the floor. Dominick Jackson was able to find the basket and hit some quick shots that gave Metro Tech some energy on offense.

Saint Agnes called a timeout with 3:45 left in regulation the score was Metro Tech 60 and Saint Agnes 54.

Both teams passed the ball around the floor looking for their shots late in the contest.

The game came down to the wire. Neither team gave up. It was a close and fast pace game in the end Metro Tech came away with the 68-56 victory over Saint Agnes.

The leading scorers for Saint Agnes were Nick Bennett with 16 and Nick Turch with 15.

The leading scorer for Metro Tech was Jamil Jackson with 26 points.
