MINNEAPOLIS NORTH WENT UP AGAINST MINNEAPOLIS WASHBURN IN A BOYS’ FOOTBALL GAME

On Sept. 27, Minneapolis North and Minneapolis Washburn went up against each other in a football game. North kicked off to Washburn. 

North started on its own 17-yard line. North used both the running and passing attack early. North looked to get into the end zone early. The North offense used both the running and passing attack to get the ball down the field. North fumbled the ball and Washburn recovered. 

Washburn recovered on their own 26-yard line. Washburn looked to move the ball down the field. Washburn’s John Lyman came up with a first down. Washburn went down the field as they looked for first downs. 

Washburn looked to move the ball down the field, but the North defense made it difficult for them to move the ball down the field. On 4th-and-15 Washburn punted the ball. 

North took over on their own 20-yard line. North used both the running and passing attacks to move the ball down the field. North quarterback Zach Yeager came up with big plays on the field. He was able to get past his defenders and looked to take the ball down the field. Yeager was able to get past the Washburn defense. North went long but came up short. On 4th-and-13 North punted the ball. 

Washburn took over on their own 20-yard line. 

After one quarter of play, the score was tied at 0.

Washburn looked to move the ball down the field and the defense look to stop them. On 4th-and-9
 Washburn punted the ball. North fumbled the ball on the punt and Washburn took over. 

Washburn took over on their own 49-yard line., 

Washburn tied went through the air to move the ball down the field. They couldn’t move the ball down the field they punted on 4th-and-12. 

North called a timeout with 10:20 left in the second quarter. The score was tied at 0.

Washburn punted the ball on 4th-and-10. 

North took over on their own 30-yard line. North once again kept the ball on the ground. Yeager came up with a first down. North kept to the running game. North’s Rio Sanders came up with a long first-down run. That brought the ball to the Washburn 26-yard line.

 North’s Terrance Kamara came up with a 26-yard touchdown run. The extra point attempt was good.

With 6:51 left in the second quarter, the score was North 7, Washburn 0.

Washburn took over on their own 49-yard line. Washburn couldn’t move the ball down the field. On 4th-and-16 Washburn punted the ball. 

Washburn called a timeout with 3:19 left in the second quarter. The score was North 7, Washburn 0.

Washburn fumbled the ball and North took over on the Washburn 26-yard line. North kept the ball on the ground as they kept on getting the ball into the hands of Yeager. North once again looked to get into the end zone. North’s Rio Sanders came up with an 8-yard touchdown reception. The extra point attempt was not good. 

With 10 seconds left in the second quarter, the score was North 13, Washburn 0. 

That was the score at halftime. 

Washburn kicked off to North to start the third quarter. North looked to move the ball down the field quickly to start the third quarter. North kept the ball on the ground to start the third quarter. 

North called a timeout with 8:34 left in the third quarter. The score was North 13, Washburn 0. 

North once again was able to move the ball down the field quickly. Yeager continued to come up with big plays late in the third quarter. Kamara came up with a 4-yard touchdown run. The extra point attempt was not good.

With 4:34 left in the third quarter, the score was North, 19, Washburn 0.

Washburn took over on their own 48-yard line. Washburn was able to move the ball down the field. Washburn’s Sir'Vell Miller came up with a long run that gave Washburn a first down. The North defense stepped up and was able to slow down the Washburn offense. Washburn was not able to come up with a first down and they turned over on downs. 

North took over on their own 9-yard line. 

After three quarters of play, the score was North 19, Washburn 0.

North couldn’t move the ball down the field, and they turned the ball over on downs. 

Washburn took over on their own 44-yard line. Washburn couldn’t move the ball down the field. On 4th-and-10 Washburn went for it but turned it over on downs. 

North looked to bring the ball down the field again as they looked to get back into the end zone. North got into the end zone on a 17-yard run by Kamara. The two-point attempt was no good.

With 6:29 left in the fourth quarter, the score was North 25, Washburn 0.

North intercepted at a ball and they took over on their own 22-yard line.

Washburn tried to move the ball down the field but was not able to do it. 

North was quicker than Washburn was, and North was able to move the ball down the field. North came away with the 25-0 victory over Washburn.
