The Elk River Elks took on the Osseo Orioles in a boys’basketball contest. Osseo started out
the game with a hot hand.
Osseo was able to slow down Elk River. Elk River was not able to hit their shots at the beginning of the game.
Osseo got everyone involved in the game on the offensive end. Joey Sonnenfeld found his three- point shot midway through the first half.
Osseo did a good job of getting everybody involved in the game. They took their time on the offensive end of the floor.
Terez Wayne VanPelt came alive late in the half. He played with a lot of emotion and energy. VanPelt was also a spark on the offensive end.
At halftime the score was Osseo 40 and Elk River 20.
As the second half got underway Osseo came out and played very aggressively. They continued to shoot the ball well.
Osseo continued to cruise in the second half. Michael Brush came up with some nice shots in
the second half. Will Johnson stepped up and knocked down some shots.
Elk River was not able to hit their shots.
Osseo was able to get everybody involved in the game. I thought that they played hard
and well together.
Osseo came away with the 78-43 victory over Elk River.
