Indy Eleven and Minnesota United FC squared off in a soccer game on Aug. 16 at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minn.
Both teams did a good job of moving the ball down the field. Minnesota looked to get the ball down the field quickly.
Minnesota was able to attack the goal.
Minnesota Aaron Pitchkolan scored a goal in the 25 minute.
With that goal that made the score Minnesota 1, Indy Eleven 0.
Minnesota continued to attack the net after the goal.
Minnesota’s Christian Ramirez scored a goal in the 37th minute on an amazing bicycle kick.
That made the score Minnesota 2, Indy Eleven 0.
Minnesota’s Daniel Mendes scored a goal in the 45th minute plus stoppage time.
With that goal that made the score Minnesota 3, Indy Eleven 0. That was the score at halftime.
As the second half got underway Minnesota continued look to get the ball down the field.
Minnesota’s Jamie Watson scored a goal in the 53rd minute.
With that goal Minnesota had a 4-0 lead over Indy Eleven.
Minnesota scored again in the 58th minute on a Ramirez goal.
That made the score Minnesota 5, Indy Eleven 0.
Indy Eleven scored a goal in the 71th minute on a Jose Kleberson goal.
With that goal that made the score Minnesota 5, Indy Eleven 1.
Minnesota looked a little quicker than Indy Eleven throughout the contest. Indy Eleven continued to attack the goal as they were able to step up their defensive pressure.
Minnesota came away with the 5-1 victory over Indy Eleven.
