EDINA WENT UP AGAINST DELASALLE IN A FOOTBALL GAME

Edina kicked off to start the game. DeLaSalle’s Isaac Hodge caught the kickoff. DeLaSalle started on their own 29 yard line. DeLaSalle looked to keep the ball on the ground on their first drive.

Quarterback Billy Hart was able to get his receivers as they were able to come up with first downs. On fourth-and-five DeLaSalle punted the ball but Edina fumbled and DeLaSalle recovered it.

DeLaSalle was able to march down the field and pick up first downs. James King Jr. was able to keep his feet moving and come up with big plays. King Jr. caught an 11-yard touchdown pass. The extra-point by Sam Peters was good.

With 7:49 left in the first quarter the score was DeLaSalle 7, Edina 0.

The kick went into the end zone for a touchback. Edina got the ball on their 20 yard line. Edina was able to get the ball into the hands of Charlie Black. Edina went long and Black came up with a one-handed catch.

Edina called a timeout with 3:30 left in the first quarter. The score was DeLaSalle 7, Edina 0.

Edina’s Kyle Fowlkes was able to get some good yards as he got by the DeLaSalle defense. Patrick LeCorre attempted a 41-yard field goal which was good. With 1:28 left in the first quarter the score was DeLaSalle 7, Edina 3.

Hodge came up with a nice return and the DeLaSalle offense started on their own 34 yard line. Hart came up with a seven-yard run. King Jr. came up with a 20-yard run. Atkins Jr came up with a huge reception for a touchdown. The extra-point attempt was good.

With 33.3 seconds left in the first quarter the score was DeLaSalle 14, Edina 3.

Edina looked to push the ball down the field.

Edina looked to push the ball down the field as Parker Rickert came up with a five-yard run to get a first down. Edina looked to get into the end zone but they fumbled the ball and DeLaSalle’s Marcos Luna recovered it. On the next play Hart came up with a huge reception. Teammate Marquise Bridges came up with another big catch to set up a three-yard touchdown run by Hart.

The extra-point attempt was no good.

With 7:43 left in the second quarter the score was DeLaSalle 20, Edina 3.


Edina got the ball near midfield. Fowlkes came up with a touchdown reception.

With 6:47 left in the second quarter the score was DeLaSalle 20, Edina 9.

DeLaSalle continued to try to move the ball down the field. DeLaSalle punted on fourth-and-four.

There was no reception. Edina put a string of short pass plays together as they looked to move the ball down the field.

DeLaSalle called a timeout with 3:47 left in the second quarter. The score was DeLaSalle 20, Edina 9.


DeLaSalle took over after a fake punt. They used different passing and running plays as they looked to try to confuse the defense. DeLaSalle did a good job of switching up what they were going to do. King came up with a nice reception which gave his team a first down. Hodge came up with a 15-yard touchdown reception. The extra-point attempt was no good.

With 1:57 left in the second quarter the score was DeLaSalle 26, Edina 9. That was the score at halftime.

DeLaSalle kicked off to start the third quarter. Edina started off on their own 34 yard line. Edina punted the ball.


DeLaSalle was intercepted by Black. Edina got the ball on DeLaSalle’s 24 yard line.

Edina called a timeout with 7:36 left in the third the score was DeLaSalle 26, Edina 9.

Edina got into the red zone and they looked to score midway through the third quarter. On fourth-and-two Edina went for it but the defense came up big and stopped the offense from coming up with a touchdown.

DeLaSalle took over on the three yard line. DeLaSalle continued to look for ways to move the ball down the field. Marquise Bridges came up with a nice reception as he was able to pick up another first down.

DeLaSalle turned the ball over on downs.

Edina’s Brock Boltmann came up with a huge run that put Edina at the door step. Parker Rickert came up with a 10-yard touchdown run. The extra-point attempt was good.

With 1:22 left in the third quarter the score was DeLaSalle 26, Edina 16. That was the score after three quarters of play.

Edina kept on looking to get the ball down the field as they went into their offensive bag of tricks.

The DeLaSalle defense didn’t bite however as they were able to come up with defensive pressure.

Rickert scored a touchdown on a 10-yard run. The extra-point attempt was blocked.

With 10:38 left in the fourth quarter the score was DeLaSalle 26, Edina 22.

DeLaSalle got the ball deep in their zone and they kept the ball on the ground as Bridges was able to get past the defenders. Edina’s Rickert Intercepted a pass and ran it into the end zone for a touchdown.

The extra-point attempt was good.


With 9:29 left in the fourth quarter the score was Edina 29, DeLaSalle 26.

DeLaSalle tried to get their offense going after it sputtered throughout the third quarter. Once again King came up with some key receptions throughout the fourth quarter that kept the offense on the field. King and Hodge both stepped up late in the game. They knew when the ball was going to be thrown to them and called for it. Bridges came up for a touchdown. The extra-point attempt was good.

With 7:04 left in the fourth quarter the score was DeLaSalle 33, Edina 29.

Edina kept on attacking the DeLaSalle defense. They were not able to penetrate the gaps in the defense late in the contest. Edina punted the ball on fourth-and-11. There was no return.

DeLaSalle moved the ball down the field as they looked to the end zone again. DeLaSalle turned the ball over on downs.

In a fast entertaining game DeLaSalle came away with the 33-29 victory over Edina.
