The Minneapolis city conference and the St Paul city conference play each other in the last game of the regular season. This series is also known as the Twin Cities Crossover Series . Minneapolis Southwest kicked off to St Paul Humboldt. Humboldt was not able to convert on their first series.
Matt St Anthony caught a pass from Ayrton Scott for a Southwest touchdown. Scott scored the two point conversion. Humboldt fumbled the kickoff and Southwest got the ball back.
At the end of the first quarter the score was Southwest 8 and Humboldt 0.
Southwest’s Scott found the end zone on a quarterback keeper and scored a touchdown. The extra point was no good. With that touch down the score was Southwest 14 and Humboldt 0.
Davon Massie scored a Humboldt touchdown with 1:53 left to go in the second quarter. The two point conversion was no good.
Danny Kernan caught a pass from Scott for a Southwest touchdown. The two point conversion was no good.
At the half the score was Southwest 20 and Humboldt 0.
Humboldt kicked off to Southwest to start the third quarter. Southwest got the ball to begin the third quarter. Southwest took to the air to being the second quarter.
Southwest was not able to convert on fourth down and they turned the ball over to Humboldt. Humboldt kept the ball on the ground for the most part in the third quarter.
Southwest was able to march down the field and score a touchdown.
At the end of the third quarter the score was Southwest 26 and Humboldt 6.
Southwest’s Sam Beaver found the end zone and got a Scott pass for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was no good.
Both teams played really aggressively throughout the game. Even though the field conditions were wet, cold and soggy each team was able to play within themselves.
Minneapolis Southwest was able to come away with the 32-6 victory over St Paul Humboldt.
