MINNEAPOLIS SOUTHWEST GIRLS ROLL OVER MINNEAPOLIS WASHBURN IN A GIRLS’ BASKETBALL CONTEST

This is from Minneapolis Southwest head coach Rob Grace. The Minneapolis Southwest Lakers used a halftime lead of 48-14 and never looked back as they were able to beat Washburn 71-33.

Southwest was led by Sophomore Guard Mariah Adanene with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Junior Post Micah Thornquist added 12 points and 7 rebounds and senior post Grace Theisen chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds.

Washburn was led by Junior guard Shanice Sullivan's 9 points. There is a four way first place tie for the Minneapolis Conference with South, Roosevelt, North and Southwest, all with 3-1 records. The Lakers play at Roosevelt on Friday.
