According to Myron Page Medcalf of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, University of Minnesota junior guard Al King Nolen has been ruled academically ineligible. He is preparing to file an appeal based on a family matter.
Nolen who is from Minneapolis and graduated from Minneapolis Patrick Henry has played in all 18 of Minnesota games and started 17 of them. He currently averages 6.7 points per game.
