Hopkins took on Windom in the Pacesetter tournament. Both teams looked to push the ball in the early goings of the game.
Both teams were really aggressive throughout the game. Windom players were taking it to Hopkins in the beginning of the game.
At the end of the first quarter the score was Windom 18 Hopkins 17.
As the second quarter got underway Siyani Chambers did a good job of running the offense for Hopkins. He knew where his teammates were supposed to be on the floor and he was able to get his players in the correct spots on the court.
Windom was able to knock down their shots throughout the first half. They were able to slow down Hopkins.
Hopkins went on a run late in the second quarter. At halftime the score was Hopkins 30 and Windom 26.
As the third quarter got underway Windom put on the jets as they were able to score a bunch of baskets right in a row. That didn’t seem to faze Hopkins as they were able to handle the onslaught of baskets by Windom.
After Windom went on their run in the third quarter Hopkins stepped up their defensive pressure.
The score after three quarters of play was Hopkins 51 and Windom 41.
In the fourth quarter Hopkins was too quick for Windom. Windom was able to give Hopkins a scare late in the contest. But in the end Hopkins came away with the 65-52 victory over Windom.
