Dover-Eyota and Roseau squared off in the State Class 2A semifinals. Dover-Eyota started out on fire. They moved the ball down the floor well as they looked to score baskets in transition.
Dover-Eyota pushed the ball down the floor and came up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
They were able to get past be Roseau defenders.
Dover-Eyota’s Madison Nelson, Megan Hintz, Brandi Blattner and Danielle Higgins all came up with mid-range jump shots and layups late in the first half. On the defensive end they all were able to come up with defensive stops.
Roseau wasn’t able to slow down the Dover-Eyota offense in the first half.
Roseau came up with fast break baskets late in the first half. They did a good job of attacking the basket.
At halftime the score was Dover-Eyota 46, Roseau 35.
As the second half got underway Dover-Eyota flew around the floor as they were able to come up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
The Dover-Eyota defense made it difficult for Roseau to make shots.
Nelson continued to come up with layups and mid-range jump shots in the second half.
Dover-Eyota cursed to a 94-61 victory over Roseau.
