GOODHUE WENT UP AGAINST MARANATHA CHRISTIAN ACADEMY IN THE CLASS A STATE GIRLS’ BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Goodhue and Maranatha Christian Academy squared off against each other on March 19 in the Minnesota State High School League’s state Class A championship in girls’ basketball.

Goodhue pushed the ball down the floor as they looked to score baskets in transition.

There was a media timeout with 14:18 left in the first half. The score was Goodhue 13, Maranatha 8.

After a slow start Maranatha was able to come up with layups and jump shots. They were able to get past the Goodhue defense.

There was a media timeout with 6:56 left in the first half. The score was Goodhue 22, Maranatha 15.

Goodhue was able to able to get everyone involved in the offense. They did a good job of communicating with each other and everyone touched the ball.

At halftime the score was Goodhue 41, Maranatha 29.

As the second half got underway Goodhue continued to push the ball down the floor and get everyone involved in the offense.

Lodermeier and Maddy Miller continued to come up with huge baskets late in the game. The defense had a tough time slowing them down.  

Goodhue came away with the 89-64 victory over Maranatha.

With that win Goodhue won the Minnesota State High School Leagues Class A girls’ state title.
