White Bear Lake squared off against Minnetonka in a girls’ Class 4A state basketball semifinals.
Minnetonka looked to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.
There was a media timeout with 14:51 left in the first half. The score was tied at 6.
White Bear Lake’s Tatie Anderson came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the first half. Her teammates were able to get her the ball in spots where she could shoot it.
Minnetonka’s Grace Allen, Lizzie Odegard, Hannah Hedstrom, Courtne Fredrickson, and Chrissy Carr all came up mid-range jump shots and layups.
At halftime the score was Minnetonka 40, White Bear Lake 23.
As the second half got underway Minnetonka continued to push the ball down the floor and came up with layups.
White Bear Lake continued to struggle shooting the ball in the second half.
Minnetonka came away with the 75-50 victory over White Bear Lake.
