MACALESTER WENT UP AGAINST HAMLINE IN A FOOTBALL GAME

Macalester and Hamline squared off in a football game. Macalester kicked off to start the game. Hamline started on their own 28-yard line. Hamline’s Deon Bishop came up with two huge first down receptions. Hamline quarterback Justice Spriggs was able to get the ball into his running back hands and move the ball down the field. On 4th-and-23 elected to punt the ball. 

Macalester took over on their own 20-yard line. Macalester’s quarterback Christian Adams looked to go deep as he was wanting to get his receivers involved in the offense. The Hamline defense stepped up and was able to stop the Macalester offense. On 4th-and-10 Macalester punted the ball away. 

Hamline took over on their own 48-yard line. Hamline moved the ball down the field on 4th-and-2 Hamline was not able to come up with a first down. 

Macalester took over on their own 44-yard line. Jacob Jones came up with some big rushes on the offensive end. On 4th-and-8 Macalester punted. 

Hamline took over on their own 11-yard line. Hamline’s Josiah Harris came up with a huge reception and then teammate Deon Bishop came up with a first down reception. On 4th-and-4 yards to go Hamline punted the ball.

Macalester marched down the field and they got into the red zone late in the first quarter.

Macalester called a timeout with 5 seconds left in the first quarter. The score was tied at 0. 

After one quarter the score was tied at 0. 

Hamline took over on downs. Hamline looked to get the ball into the hands of Spriggs. The defense was able to slow Spriggs down. Bishop came up with a first down reception. Bishop came up with a 36-yard touchdown reception. Kyle Johnson’s extra point attempt was good. 

With 11:05 left in the second quarter the score was Hamline 7, Macalester 0. 

Macalester looked to move the ball down the field. On 4th-and-7 Macalester punted the ball. 

Hamline took over on their own 20-yard line. Hamline got the ball into the hands of Nick Kampa.

Kampa came up with a first down. Then the defense stepped up and slowed down the Hamline offense. Hamline punted on 4th-and-14.

Macalester fumbled the ball on the 4-yard line and Hamline recovered the ball on the 1-yard line. 

Hamline score a touchdown on a Harris on a 1-yard run. The extra point attempt was good. 

With 4:43 left in the second quarter the score was Hamline 14, Macalester 0. 

Macalester took over on their own 16-yard line. Macalester looked to move the ball down the field again late in the second quarter. Hamline’s Luke Lindquist came up with and interception. Hamline was intercepted and Macalester took over. 

At halftime the score was Hamline 14, Macalester 0. 

Macalester took over on their own 41-yard line to start the third quarter. Macalester punted on 4th-and-5. 

Hamline took over on their own 15-yard line. Hamline looked to stay on the ground but were not afraid to air it out. Hamline punted on 4th-and-1. 

Macalester couldn’t move down the field and they punted on 4th-and-19. 

Hamline called a timeout with 8:22 left in the third quarter the score was Hamline 14, Macalester 0. 

Hamline went for it on 4th-and-3 and they were able to come up with a 42-yard touchdown by Harris.

The extra point was good. 

With 8:09 left in the third quarter the score was Hamline 21, Macalester 0. 

The ball traded hands throughout the third quarter. 

Macalester got the ball back on 24-yard line. Macalester went to a hurry up offense as they moved the ball down the field quickly. Macalester found the end zone on a 6-yard run by Jeremy Stephan. The extra point attempt by Ben Haltmaier was good. 

With 4:26 left in the third quarter the score was Hamline 21, Macalester 7. 

Hamline took over on their own 32-yard line. Hamline was able to move the ball down the field. 

Hamline came up short on 4th-and-1. 

Macalester took over on their own 41-yard line. Matthew Bonazzoli came up with a huge run for a first down. 

After three quarter the score was Hamline 21, Macalester 7. 

Hamline was not able to come up with a first down and they turned it over on downs. Hamline punted on 4th-and-6.

Macalester took over on their own 30- yard line. Macalester’s Alec Beatty came up with huge receptions in the fourth quarter. Macalester marched down the field. 

Macalester took a timeout with 8:53 left in the fourth quarter. The score was Hamline 21, Macalester 7. 

On 4th-and-3 Macalester went for it but came up short. They turned it over on Hamline 2-yard line. Hamline looked to move the ball down the field. 


Macalester took over on their own 28-yard line. Macalester looked to move the ball down the field quickly as they didn’t take a lot of time getting plays in. Macalester fumbled the ball and Hamline took over on the 38-yard line. The Hamline offense stalled out to end the game.

Hamline came away with the 21-7 victory over Macalester.
