EDEN PRAIRIE TOOK ON ROCHESTER JOHN MARSHALL

In class AAA quarter final action it was Eden Prairie taking on Rochester John Marshall. Eden Prairie was able to get out and jump on the Rochester John Marshall team.

Rochester started playing the game in a zone defense. They were trying to extend the zone out to cover the shooters. They all crashed the boards when the shot went up.


Eden Prairie had some trouble early on getting the ball up the court against the Rochester press. Eden Prairie looked to push the ball up the court. Morgan Van-Riper Rose for the Eagles was really got the ball up the court and was able to get the ball out and run in the open court.


Eden Prairie was able to come out strong and really put it to the Rochester John Marshall team. In a first half that was dominated by the Eden Prairie Eagles they had a 36-16 advantage at half.

As the second half got underway the Eden Prairie Eagles continued to dominate. Eden Prairie didn’t want their play to get sloppy they have to really bear down and play solid on both sides of the ball.

Rochester kept full court press on Eden Prairie the whole game. They didn’t want to just throw away this game. They kept on fighting and they thought that they had a chance to get back into this game.

Both teams kept on shooting the ball. Even when John Marshal was down by 20 points they just kept shooting shots. They were just hoping to get some of their shots to fall.

Rochester played zone defense in the second half. They were aggressive on the defensive each end of the court.
Rochester was able to make a little come back in the second half. But they were not able to catch up to soaring Eagles.

The final of the game was Eden Prairie 61 and Rochester John Marshall 48.
