OSSEO TAKES ON APPLE VALLEY IN CLASS AAAA QUARTERFINAL ACTION



The Osseo Orioles took on Apple Valley in the class AAAA quarter final game at the Target Canter. Osseo was able to start the game on a run 8-0,18-4. It took Apple Valley a while to make a basket, 5:05 into the game.

Aaron Anderson is one of the floor leaders on this team. He directs his players on the court and he gets them the ball.

Osseo has had success getting the ball up the court. They have been able to survive pursue that Apple Valley has been able to produce.

Apple Valley has not been able to slow this Osseo team down. At the half the score was Osseo 27 and Apple Valley 16.


Apple Valley came out on fire in the second half. They were very fired up. Both of these teams played a strong second half.

Osseo was able to hit their shots. Aaron Anderson was also able to come down and make shots through the game. He really did a good job of communicating the plays that he wanted ran.


Osseo was able to keep the ball moving on the offensive end. Osseo was successful in their offensive sets because they had patience and they were able to work the ball around the outside and they usually looked to get the ball into Sam Dower on the low block.

Apple Valley was able to go on a run midway though the second half. Apple Valley was able to get some quick steals from behind.

Sam Dower played well in the game. He has able to get go after rebounds and was a force on the glass. He really went after it. All of the players dove after loose balls.

With 3:39 in regulation the score was Osseo 45 and Apple Valley 42.

The game went up and down the court. Both teams continued to hustle. In the end Osseo was able to hold off Apple Valley down the stretch.

The leading scorers for Apple Valley were Varmah Sonie with 16 points and Mitch Bires with 11 points. The leading scorers for Osseo were Nick Djerf and Sam Dower with 13 points Aaron Anderson had 12 points.

Nice article, and nice picture of Nick Djerf's two handed slam down, his 3rd dunk of the game!!
