THE 2010 MINNESOTA STATE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL COACHES ASSOCIATION SPONSORED THE METRO VS OUT STATE ALL STAR GAME

The Minnesota State High School Football Coaches Association sponsored the all star football game. Every year 80 of the best high school seniors are selected to play in the series.

The Metro All Stars kicked off to the Out State All Stars to begin the game. The Out State All Stars looked to keep the ball on the ground early in the game. On the Out States first possession they had to put the ball to the Metro All Stars.

The Metro All Stars looked to keep the ball on the ground in the early goings of the game. They were not able to gain a first down on their first possession and they turned it over on downs. The Out State team got the ball back and on the first play they fumbled it and Metro got the ball right back.

John Crocket for the Metro All Stars got the ball and was able to gain ground running the ball. Metro did a good job of getting the ball into Crocket’s hands. Brandon Marquadt scored the first Metro touchdown with 6:09 left in the first quarter.

With 6:09 left in the first quarter the score was Metro All Stars 7 and Out State All Stars 0.

The Out State team got the ball back after the touchdown. The Out State team turned the ball over to the Metro All Star team.

The Metro team got the ball back and they kept on trying to pound the ball down the Out State’s throats.

After the first quarter the score was Metro All Stars 7 and the Out State All Stars 0.

The Metro All Stars got the ball to begin the second quarter.

John Crocket scored a 45-yard rushing touchdown with 10:02 left in the second quarter. The extra point was good. With 10:02 left to go in the second quarter the score was Metro All Stars 14 and Out State All Stars 0.

The field got sloppy during the second quarter as rain began to fall midway through the first quarter. Players had a tough time finding their footing.

The Metro All Stars threatened to score late in the second quarter. They were able to do just that as Dajon Newell was able to run a one-yard touchdown run. The extra point was good. With 39.7 seconds left Carlton Littlejohn got a 22-yard touchdown on an interception. The extra point was good.

At halftime the score was Metro All Stars 28 and the Out State All Stars 0.

As the third quarter got underway the Metro All Stars got the ball to begin the third quarter. The Metro All Stars continued to pound the ball down the field.

The Metro All Stars continued to get the ball to running back John Crockett. He was able to skillfully move down the field. The Out State All Stars had trouble getting their arms around him.

The Out Sate All Stars threatened to score midway through the third quarter. They were not able to capitalize on that threat.

The Metro All Stars were able to drive down the field and they threatened to score late in the third quarter. The Metro All Stars tried to get a field goal with 2:32 left in the third quarter and it did not go through the goal posts.

After three quarters of play the score was Metro All Stars 28 and Out State All Stars 0.

As the third quarter got underway the rain picked up which fell throughout the night. The Metro All Stars looked to score midway through the fourth quarter.

Nick Risbrudt had a huge kickoff return for the Out State All Stars.

The game was called off because of lighting with 7:49 left to go in the game. The Metro came away with the 28-0 victory.
