EDEN PRAIRIE WENT UP AGAINST EAGAN IN THE CLASS AA GIRLS’ STATE SOCCER FINALS

Eden Prairie and Eagan went up against each other in the class AA state finals in the girls’ tournament.

It took a while for each of these teams to get used to each other. Both teams did a good job of getting after the ball.

Eagan’s Jade King did a good job of getting to the ball. If King thought that she had a clear shot on goal she would shoot it.

The Eden Prairie offense did a good job of getting the ball down the field. 


Eagan’s King found the back of the net as she scored a goal with 14:26 left in the first half.

With 14:26 left in the first half the score was Eagan 1, Eden Prairie 0. 

Both teams were evenly matched. There were many penalties throughout the first half.

Eagan’s goalkeeper Jordyn Clark came up with some huge saves late in the first half. 

At halftime the score was Eagan 1, Eden Prairie 0. 

As the second half got underway both teams continued to go after the ball.

There were many collisions as both teams went after the ball throughout the game. Multiple players had to get helped off the field. No one got hurt seriously however. 

Eagan came away with the 1-0 victory over Eden Prairie to win the class AA state girls soccer championship.
