ROBBINSDALE ARMSTRONG WENT UP AGAINST PRIOR LAKE IN SECTION 6 CLASS 6A QUARTERFINAL FOOTBALL GAME

On Oct. 24 Robbinsdale Armstrong and Prior Lake went up against each other in a football game.

Prior Lake kicked off to start the game. The ball went into the end zone for a touchback.

Armstrong started on their own 20 yard line. Armstrong looked to keep the ball on the ground on their first drive. On fourth-and-12 Armstrong punted it.

Prior Lake started on the Armstrong 47 yard line. Prior Lake Alex Heart was all over the field as he picked up a 10-yard run for a first down. Cullen Sowder came up with a 13-yard run for a touchdown. The extra-point attempt was good.

With 8:01 left in the first quarter the score was Prior Lake 7, Armstrong 0.

The kick went into the end zone for a touchback.

Armstrong was not able to move the ball down the field. On fourth-and-three they punted the ball.
Prior Lake took over near midfield.

Armstrong’s Isaiah Clark came up with an interception. Heart came up with a sack. Armstrong had trouble passing the ball. On fourth-and-12 Armstrong punted the ball.

Prior Lake took over on the 35 yard line. Heart continued to pound the ball down the field. Sowder also came up with some big runs late in the first quarter. Tyler Hanson attempted a 32-yard field goal which was good.

With 3:30 left in the first quarter the score was Prior Lake 10, Armstrong 0.

Armstrong got the ball on the 22 yard line. Armstrong’s quarterback Collis Barber came up with some nice passes to his receivers who were able to get first downs. Barber was incepted by Prior Lake’s Nick Raddatz.

Prior Lake took over on their own 25 yard line. Prior Lake moved the ball down the field well. Quarterback Lucas Olson found Alex Heart for a 64 yards for a touchdown run (what). Hanson’s extra-point attempt was good.

With 1:05 left in the first quarter the score was Prior Lake 17, Armstrong 0.

Armstrong took over on their own 23 yard line.

After one quarter of play the score was Prior Lake 17, Armstrong 0.

Armstrong got the ball into the hands of Darrin Barber. Barber was able to slip by the Prior Lake defenders. On fourth-and-11 Armstrong decided to punt the ball.

Prior Lake took over on their own 38 yard line. Olson came up with a first down on a short run.

Sowder came up with a 21-yard run for a first down. Heart came up with a 10-yard touchdown run.

The extra-point attempt by Hanson was good.

With 8:58 left in the second quarter the score was Prior Lake 24, Armstrong 0.

Hanson kicked off after the touchdown.

Armstrong took over on their own 24 yard line. Armstrong running back Randy Heggem came up with some short runs that kept the chains moving.

Armstrong called a timeout with 7:18 left in the second quarter. The score was Prior Lake 24, Armstrong 0.

Armstrong switched up plays as they alternated between pass and running plays. Barber did a good job of keeping his offense on the same page while they were on the field. On fourth-and-13 Armstrong punted the ball. They faked the punt and the ball was fumbled and Raddatz recovered it for a 54-yard touchdown fumble return. Hanson’s extra-point attempt was good.

With 5:03 left in the second quarter the score was Prior Lake 31, Armstrong 0.

Armstrong’s Thomas Barber got the ball and looked to get past the defenders but was not able to. On fourth-and-long Armstrong punted the ball.

Prior Lake started first-and-10 on their own 40 yard line. Prior Lake’s Hunter Sandness came up with a huge 30-yard reception for a first down.

Prior Lake called a timeout with 39.4 seconds left in the second quarter.

Prior Lake’s Jacob Rosonke came up with a five-yard touchdown run. The extra-point attempt was good.

With 34.6 seconds left in the second quarter the score was Prior Lake 38, Armstrong 0.

That was the score at halftime.

Armstrong kicked off to start the third quarter. Prior Lake took over on their own 15 yard line. Prior Lake came out looking to attack the Armstrong defense. Prior Lake used a lot of time off the clock on their first drive. Andrew Owodunni came up with a first down on a one-yard run. On fourth-and-four Prior Lake punted the ball.

Armstrong took over on their 4 yard line. Armstrong’s Thomas Barber came up with a 32-yard first down run. On fourth-and-13 Armstrong went for it as Tre Tate tried to come up with a catch but was unsuccessful. Armstrong turned the ball over on downs.

Prior Lake received the ball on their 33 yard line. Owodunni came up with a 52-yard first down run.

Prior Lake looked to get into the end zone. Jacob Rosonke came up with short runs. That set up a one-yard touchdown run by Owodunni.

Prior Lake looked like they were going to kick the extra-point attempt but it was a fake as, Hanson found Olson for a two-point conversion.

The score with 2:01 left in the third quarter was Prior Lake 46, Armstrong 0.

Armstrong looked to move the ball down the field as they started deep in their zone on their 15 yard line. The Prior Lake defense stepped up big as they were able to back the Armstrong offense up and create havoc for them on offense. On fourth-and-13 Armstrong punted the ball.

Prior Lake’s Jacob Hitz caught the ball but didn’t return it. They took over on their own 36 yard line.

After three quarters of play the score was Prior Lake 46, Armstrong 0.

Prior Lake continued to pound the ball down the field. They did that by using both the air attack and pounding the ball on the ground. Lawson Zenner came up with a 10-yard first down run.

Prior Lake’s Hanson attempted a 31-yard field goal which was no good.

Armstrong took over on their own 20 yard line. Jake Hummel intercepted a pass to give Prior Lake the ball back.

Prior Lake looked to get into the end zone again late in the fourth quarter. They were able to get Lawson Zenner the ball and he ran nine yards for a touchdown. Olsen carried the ball for the two-point conversion.

With 2:11 left in the fourth quarter the score was Prior Lake 54, Armstrong 0.

The kick went into the end zone for a touchback.

Armstrong looked to move the ball down the field and get onto the scoreboard. They were not able to get into the end zone.

Prior Lake came away with the 54-0 victory over Armstrong.
