HOPKINS WENT UP AGAINST SHAKOPEE IN A STATE SEMIFINAL GAME

Hopkins and Shakopee squared off in the state semifinals. Hopkins pushed the ball down the floor and everyone touched the ball.

There was a media timeout with 14:18 left in the first half. The score was Hopkins 5, Shakopee 1.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half. Neither team went on a run in the first half.

There was a media timeout with 10:39 left in the first half. The score was Hopkins 13, Shakopee 10.

Hopkins moved the ball down the floor well as they were able to come up with fast break layups.

Hopkins got the ball into the hands of Nia Hollie. Hollie was able to come up with mid-range jump shots.

The Shakopee defense had a hard time of slowing down the Hopkins offense.

At halftime the score was Hopkins 37, Shakopee 23.

As the second half got underway the Hopkins offense kicked in high gear. They were able to get the ball into the hands of TT Starks and Hollie both of them came up with big shots throughout the game.

Hopkins open the second half on a 19-0 run.

The defensive pressure that Hopkins applied made it difficult for Shakopee to come up with baskets.

The game went into mercy rule because the score was more than 35 points with nine minutes left in the second half.

Hopkins was way too much for Shakopee to handle.

Hopkins came away with the 64-33 victory.
