PARK CENTER WENT UP AGAINST KASSON-MANTORVILLE IN THE CLASS 3A STATE SEMIFINALS

Park Center and Kasson-Mantorville squared off in the Class 3A state semifinals of the girls’ state tournament.

Park Center moved the ball down the floor well. Both teams started out in zone defense.

There was a media timeout with 14:29 left in the first half. The score was Park Center 4, Kasson-Mantorville 2.

Park Centers Hannah Schaub and Mikayla Hayes came up with mid-range jump shots and layups.

Park Center came up with fast break layups.

There was a media timeout with 10:46 left in the first half. The score was Park Center 11, Kasson-Mantorville 4.

Kasson-Mantorville had a hard time shooting the ball throughout the first half. They were not able to hit shots that they put up.

There was a media timeout with 6:20 left in the first half. The score was Park Center 18, Kasson-Mantorville 8.

Park Center was able to get everyone involved in the offense. Kasson-Mantorville did a good job of stepping up their defensive pressure and keeping Park Center from getting open looks at the basket.

At halftime the score was Park Center 18, Kasson-Mantorville 16.

Kasson-Mantorville came out on fire. They moved the ball down the floor well and were able to make layups in transition.

The score went back and forth throughout the second half. There were many ties and lead changes.

Park Center called a timeout with 12:34 left in regulation. The score was tied at 26.

Park Center’s Ann Simonet, Hannah Schaub, Feyisayo Ayobamidele, Danielle Schaub and Mikayla Hayes continued to all come up with huge mid-range jump shots and layups in the second half.

There was a media timeout with 9:36 left in regulation. The score was Park Center 32, Kasson Mantorville 28.

Both teams played tough on the defensive end.

Park Center continued to push the ball down the floor and looked to kill the clock late in the game.

Park Center came away with the 47-37 victory over Kasson Mantorville.

The leading scorer for Kasson-Mantorville was Kristin Scott with 19 points.

The leading scorers for Park Center were Schaub with 12 points and Simonet with 11 points.
