MARANATHA WENT UP AGAINST RED LAKE IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

On Jan. 30 Maranatha and Red Lake squared off in a boys' basketball game.
 
Maranatha called a timeout with 15:21 left in the first half. The score was Red Lake 6, Maranatha 2.
 
Red Lake pushed the ball down the floor and looked to score baskets in transition.
 
Maranatha looked to score baskets in transition.
 
Red Lake came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the first half. He wasn’t afraid to attack the basket.
 
The score went back and forth throughout the first half. Neither team went on a run.
 
Maranatha called a timeout with 4:49 left in the first half. The score was Red Lake 24, Maranatha 17.
 
Maranatha went to a zone defense and that made Red Lake swing the ball around the 3-point line.
 
They were able to still attack the basket and look inside.
 
Maranatha had trouble shooting the ball late in the first half. Red Lake kept their foot on the offensive peddle as they came up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
 
Maranatha called a timeout with 1:54 left to go in the first half. The score was Red Lake 28, Maranatha 17.
 
Red Lake was able to get to the basket late in the first half and make shots.
 
At halftime the score was Red Lake 31, Maranatha 22.
 
As the second half got underway Red Lake continued to push the ball down the floor and come up with huge shots.
 
Maranatha’s Austin Andrews came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. He wasn’t afraid to take the ball hard to the basket.  
 
Red Lake continued to get to the basket and come up with layups and mid-range jump shots.
 
Maranatha struggled to score in the second half. They kept on shooting the ball even though their shots didn’t fall.
 
Maranatha called a timeout with 4:59 left in regulation. The score was Red Lake 47, Maranatha 36.
 
Red Lake was too quick for Maranatha. Maranatha had a difficult time making shots that they put up.
 
Red Lake came away with the 62-45 victory over Maranatha.
 
Red Lake was lead in scoring by Rob McClain with 26 points and Kendall Whitefeather with 10 points.
 
Maranatha was lead in scoring by Austin Andrews with 16 points and Elisha Coleman with 12 points.
