2009 HOWARD PULLEY PRO AM SUMMER LEAGUE UNDERWAY

In the opening night of the Howard Pulley Pro Am Summer League at the Salvation Army in St Paul the first game was between El Amin Fish House and HP Bye.

This league is being played using NBA rules. The officials are calling NBA fouls. For the first couple of game the players have to get used to the fouls and the calls. They play 4 10:00 quarters. If there happens to be over time there would be a 5:00 over time period.

Some of the big names that are playing for the Fish House is Paul Carter and Devron Bostick who play for the Minnesota Gophers. They both played very strong in the first half. Paul Carter made some nice post moves on the low blocck. Devron Bostick made some nice passes. They each were able to set each other up on different plays.

At the end of the first quarter the score was Howard Pulley Bye 24 and El Amin Fish House 30.
Howard Pulley Bye went on a run early in the second quarter. The second quarter saw a surge of scoring for both teams as there was very little defense played by earthier team.

There was a surge in scoring in the second half as both teams put up a lot of shots. The score at half time was Howard Pulley Bye 51 and El Amin Fish House 64.

As the second half began both teams came out with a lot of intensity. Chad Calateria has played well. He has been all over the court. He has been able to get up and get rebounds and contest shots.

Both teams continued to push the ball up the court in the third quarter. El Amin Fish House was able to make their shots in the second half.

At the end of the third quarter the score was Howard Pulley Bye 81 an El Amin Fish House 95.

As the fourth quarter got underway there was a lot of intensity shown by both teams. Neither team wanted to lose that game.

Both teams continued to play tough and aggressive in the fourth quarter. El Amin Fish House went on a run in the fourth quarter to close out the game. Howard Pulley Bye didn’t give up they played hard the whole game.

Each of these teams are getting used to each other was this is the first night and players are learning each other’s game and style of play.

The final of the game was Howard Pulley Bye 101 and El Amin Fish House 126.
