A & A MILLWORK TOOK ON B2X IN SECOND GAME OF OPENING NIGHT

In the second game it was A&A Millwork against B2X. This game got out to a fast start. As each team looked to get the ball up the court there was no waiting for the defense to get set.

Johnny Gilbert came ready to play. He really went after loose balls and really played tenuous defense. He wasn’t afraid to shoot the ball.

Both teams shot the ball well in the first quarter. Jamar Franks played aggressively in the first half. He was not afraid to box someone out on the defensive end.
Rodney Williams played well he was able to hit jump shots that he put up. He also was able to make some nice dunks. At the end of the first quarter the score was B-2-X 17 A&A Millwork 22.

The second quarter started out fast and furious as it seemed that each team was able to make shots that they were putting up.

Neither team was able to go on a run midway through the first quarter in a half. A&A did not want to give up their lead and they fought very hard in the first half to keep that lead.

At half time the score was B-2-X 42 A&A Millwork 47.

B-2-X came out ready to play in the second half as they were able to tie the game at 50 with just over 8:00 left to go in the third quarter.

The score teeter tottered late in the third quarter before A & A Millwork went on a little run in the third quarter.
Al Nolen played well tonight for A & A Millwork. He was one of the vocal leaders on the floor. He did a good job of directing his players when he was on the court.

There is a level of intensity that each player brings to the game. That intensity is shown on the court every time that they step on the court. Even though it is a summer league every one brings a lot of emotion and intensity to the game.

At the end of the third quarter the score was B2Z 67 and A& A Millwork 80.

B2Z played man to man defense in the fourth quarter. They wanted to try to control the bleeding. A & A Millwork did not let the hammer down. Johnny Gilbert did a good job defending his guy. He had a hand up in his face and was contesting shots.

Rodney Williams put on a dunking show throughout the game. He had a few great dunks that were just fantastic. Al Nolen also had a nice couple of dunks in the game as well.

A & A Millwork was able to come away with the 104-91 victory.
