LEGACY CHRISTIAN ACADEMY WENT UP AGAINST TRINITY SCHOOL IN A BOYS BASKETBALL GAME

Legacy Christian and Trinity went up against each other in a boys basketball game.
 
Trinity looked to push the tempo early. They were able to push the ball in transition and make layups.
 
Trinity was also able to get everyone involved in the offense.
 
Legacy started the game out in a zone defense as well.
 
The score went back and forth early in the first half. Neither team was able to go on a run.  
 
Trinity swung the ball around the three-point line. They were able to attack the zone defense that Legacy was playing.
 
Trinity called a timeout with 10:23 left in the first half. The score was Legacy 13, Trinity 10.
 
Legacy’s Michael Stelly stepped up and hit his mid-range jump shot. His teammates did a good job of getting the ball to him in the paint where he hit most of his shots.
 
Trinity’s Jon Lotti came up with a couple of steals and was able to turn them into baskets on the offensive end. Lotti was able to slow down the guy that he was guarding as well.  
 
Trinity was able to control the tempo late in the first half. They were able to take Legacy out of an offensive rhythm because of their defense.
 
At halftime the score was Trinity 28, Legacy 19.
 
Both started out the second half in a zone defense.
 
Trinity’s Seth Brummer continued to attack the basket. He was able to hit layups that he shot.
 
Brummer was also able to get the ball into Lotti’s hands in the second half who got hot in the second half.
 
Legacy wanted to push the tempo in the second half. They did a good job of moving the ball down the floor and getting fast break baskets.
 
Trinity was able to hit shots from inside and outside. They were not afraid to attack the basket.
 
Brummer kept on coming up with pull up jumpers and was also able to make back door layups.
 
Trinity did a good job of getting everyone involved in the offensive end. Everyone on the floor touched the ball on the offensive end before someone looked to shoot it.
 
Legacy couldn’t come up with the lead late in the second half. They fought hard and were very scrappy on both ends of the floor.
 
The score with 3:13 left in regulation was Trinity 47, Legacy 43.
 
Legacy’s Luke Anderson kept his team in the game. He stepped up and was able to knock down some key three-point shots.
 
The game came down to the wire.
 
Trinity came away with the 54-49 victory over Legacy.
 
The leading scorers for Legacy were Bertsch with 17 points, Johnson with 11 and Anderson with 10 points.
 
The leading scorers for Trinity were Lotti with 19 points and Brummer with 11 points.
