ST. CROIX LUTHERAN TOOK ON BROOKLYN CENTER IN A BOYS BASKETBALL GAME

St. Croix Lutheran and Brooklyn Center went up against each other in a boys basketball game. It took a while for each team to get into an offensive rhythm.
 
St. Croix Lutheran started in a zone defense. They wanted to spread the Brooklyn Center offense out.
 
The score went back and forth throughout the first half. There were several ties and lead changes.
 
Brooklyn Center’s Tedke Clark and Sammie Watkins were able to hit layups consistently in the first half.
 
St. Croix Lutheran had a hard time hitting their shots late in the first half.  
 
Watkins continued to hit layups late in the first half.
 
St. Croix Lutheran couldn’t slow down Brooklyn Center.
 
At halftime the score was Brooklyn Center 26, St. Croix Lutheran 14.
 
As the second half got underway Brooklyn Center continued to attack the basket. Clark and Watkins continued to hit their shots.
 
St. Croix Lutheran kept on attacking the basket in the second half.
 
Brooklyn Center kept on getting the ball into the hands of Clark and Watkins. They were able to really turn on the offense in the second half.
 
St. Croix Lutheran had difficulty shooting the ball throughout the game. They went into long scoring droughts in the second half.
 
Brooklyn Center came away with the 52-41 victory over St. Croix Lutheran.
 
St. Croix Lutheran was lead in scoring by Rovney with 19 pints and Krueger with 12 points.
 
Brooklyn Center was lead in scoring by Clark with 27 points.
