IN BOYS SOCCER ANOKA WENT UP AGAINST EAST RIDGE IN THE CLASS 2A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

In boys soccer Anoka and East Ridge squared off against each other in the Class 2A state championship game.
 
Both teams moved the ball down the field easily early in the first half.
 
East Ridge had their chances to score in the first half. They did a good job of getting everyone involved in the offense.
 
East Ridge’s Nathan Casas scored a goal with 20:34 left in the first half.
 
With that goal that made the score East Ridge 1, Anoka 0.
 
Anoka had their chances to score late in the in the first half.
 
At halftime the score was East Ridge 1, Anoka 0.
 
Anoka’s Donnie Guimont 13 scored a goal with 38:35 left in regulation.
 
With that goal that made the score tied at 1.
 
Anoka’s Blake Doyea scored a goal with 34:20 left in regulation.
 
With that goal that made the score Anoka 2, East Ridge 1.
 
East Ridge continued to move the ball down the field quickly and looked to shoot shots.
 
Anoka came away with the 2-1 victory over East Ridge.
 
With that win Anoka won the class AA state championship.
