MAHTOMEDI WENT UP AGAINST ORONO IN THE STATE CLASS A GIRLS SOCCER TOURNAMENT

Mahtomedi and Orono squared off in the state girls state class A soccer tournament. Mahtomedi did a good job of getting the ball down the field.

 

Both teams seemed like they were evenly matched on the field. Neither team gave up easy shots on goal

 

At halftime the score was tied at 0.

 

With 34:15 left in regulation Orono’s Lily McKown scored a goal. With that goal that made the score Orono 1, Mahtomedi 0.

 

With 34:15 left in regulation the score was Orono 1, Mahtomedi 0.

 

Orono’s Claire Bash scored a goal with 27:43 left in regulation.  

 

With 27:43 left in regulation the score was Orono 2, Mahtomedi 0.

 

Mahtomedi kept on attacking the goal late in the contest.

 

Both teams played hard throughout the game.

 

Orono came away with the 2-0 victory over Mahtomedi.
