CEDAR FALLS TOOK ON PRIOR LAKE IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

The Cedar Falls High School boys' basketball team from Iowa traveled to Minneapolis to the Target Center to take on Prior Lake in a boys' basketball game as part of the 2012 Minnesota Timbervolves Shootout.

Cedar Falls came out hot. They made the first five points of the game. It took a while for Prior Lake to get their shots to fall.

Cedar Falls looked to get the ball out of the basket and score easy baskets in transition. They were able to do that early in the game.

Prior Lake did a good job of passing the ball around the three-point line. They looked to take time off of the clock.

Cedar Falls looked to get the ball into the hands of James Harrington. Harrington was all over the court. He was not afraid to shoot the ball.

Prior Lake didn't get down on themselves as their shots were not falling. They kept on shooting them anyway.

Harrington continued to shoot the ball well and make shots late in the half. On the defensive end he was able to slow down his defender.

At halftime the score was Cedar Falls 45 and Prior Lake 26.

Kalehl Brown for Cedar Falls was dead on from all over the court. He shot the ball well. His teammates were able to get him the ball where they knew he could make shots.

Cedar Falls kept on shooting the ball in the second half. They were more physical than Prior Lake. They did a good job of keeping Harrington involved in the offense.

Cedar Falls was too much for Prior Lake to handle. Cedar Falls came away with the 67-56 victory over Prior Lake.

The leading scorers for Prior Lake were Jack Kaiser with 16 points, and Jack Harrison and Carson Shanks with 11 points each. Prior Lake shot 22-53 from the field that included going 4-12 from behind the three-point line. They were 8-14 from the free throw line. They grabbed a total of 39 rebounds, 24 of them on the defensive end.

The leading scorers for Cedar Falls were James Harrington with 25 points, Caleb Konieczny with 14 points, and Kalehl Brown with 11 points. Cedar Falls shot 28-58 from the field that included going 4-11 from behind the three-point line. They were 7-17 from the free throw line. They grabbed a total of 32 rebounds, 21 of them on the defensive end.
