According to KSTP, Eagan boys' basketball coach Kurt Virgin officially stepped down. KSTP reported that, “district officials told police that he had the ability to host the summer camps while overseeing how the events were run. He also had some discretion in the manner in which he was compensated for his services and how participants registered for events.”
The program was under investigation at the start of the basketball season when reports surfaced of fraud and misuse of funds involving Virgin in how he ran his basketball camps this past summer.
Virgin was put on leave by the school district at the start of the basketball season.
